View Full Version : Comic Book Storage - I'm going to take the leap...

I have "too many" comic books. I've been looking for ways to store them that allow for easy access. Has anyone here purchased drawer boxes (comic boxes that slide out of protective boxes - meaning you can stack boxes on top of each other and to get into the bottom box, you don't have to lift all the other boxes off it first.)?

If so - how do you like them? Where did you get them?

If you have a large collection and you don't use drawer boxes - how do you store them?

These drawer box things are WAY too expensive when you factor in shipping, but I see no other viable alternatives. Any help would be great.

I have 10 drawer boxes and need more. I think they work great. Easy to assemble, fit comics in great, durable...but the one thing I'm not fond of is the seperators for the books. It has certain notches in the side if you decide to use their kind, so I'm having to pick and choose what series will fit in each.

Horseman - please tell me more! Like - do the notches not work with regular dividers? Regular dividers still fit, right? They just don't have that bracket/support feature?

Howyadoin - thanks so much. Just read through the whole thing (and now realize this thread should probably be merged).

lifting long boxes one at a time to get to the one at the bottom is a great way to build upper body strength. drawer boxes are for the weak.

try and get a lcs to add the drawer boxes to their next order for you. their mark up will probably be less than shipping if you get them sent to your door
