Thanks for the patience, and the votes, everyone.
This weeks theme is Covers Where the Fourth Wall is Broken
.
I don't think this one has been done before, and I certainly hope it's doable. But for those who are not sure what the "breaking the fourth wall" means in this context... Essentially, I am looking for any cover whether by an all out rupture or the slightest fracture the barrier between comic book reality and our reality (or fantasy and the real world) is broken.
The rules are basic:
1) Pick one actual cover (from a comic book issue, magazine or graphic novel)
2) Make it of your own choosing
3) It should have to do with the theme above
4) Have fun.

There've been a couple based around elements that can or do break the fourth wall, but none where fourth wall breakage was the specific theme.
So I think we're all good.

Nobody.
They called themselves the Spider-Man Revenge Squad.

I know there's been a lot of Deadpool entries... but this alternate cover is one is one of my favorite covers:
http://www.comicbookdb.com/graphics/comic_graphics/1/211/101157_20070916150347_large.jpg
For those not in the know, it's also a parody of the month in 1997 where all DC books for one month featured a "headshot" cover of the titular character. So, Joe Kelly takes a shot at a really weird sales gimmick by the folks across the way, at the time.

I mean, a cover where Spidey spends time breaking the fourth wall with Black Cat, rather than shagging her rotten? It can only be because he knows we'd all be watching.
