When did Dido announce he and the writer were working to undermine the character if was not done in secret according to you so there must be publicity about it somewhere.You know, at some point in their life, people develop the ability to observe facts and then from that extrapollate events they did not witness themselves.
If a guy screams at the top of his lungs that he is going to kill somebody, and is later found hunching over the dead body, covede in the blood of the body, pulling a knife engraved with his name from the body, odds are he killed the dude even if you didn't see him stab him.
