I think these two are so different that it will be a really fun match up, even if it doesnt last.

This could be fun but I'll definitely be having a flick though at my LCS before I buy it. I can't see any long term relationship developing though which is kind of a shame, because I think it'd be interesting to see 616 Spidey dating a proper, honest to goodness Superhero. I know he dated Black Cat but her "hero" status was always a lot more ambiguous than someone like Ms. Marvel.
I wonder if Ms. Marvel puts out on the first date?

This superhero date thing really is kryptonite to fanboys' superman. Based on this alone I expect sales to go through the roof.
Damn you, effective marketing ploys!!!

nah that still could be black cat.... Id expect the developments in the back of ASM 600 to be in the actual ASM comic.

In Ms. Marvel's comic, Carol was going to have sex with a guy named William Wagner on their first date, but they were interrupted before things got too hot and heavy. But the issue made it seem like Carol can move fast when she wants to.
I don't think she'll want to move fast with Pete, though. The artist of this upcoming Amazing Spider-Date issue has a very cartoony and quirky style, so the Spidey/Ms. Marvel date issue will probably be played for laughs rather than sex. Unless it's laughs during sex!

But i thought we went through many times how Felicia's hair colour is way too platinum blonde to fit the hade of blonde in that 600 panel?

I agree about Ms. Marvel on that cover.
What the hell happened to Sana Takeda? Has she been taken of the book? :frown:

Just as we don't know if that's really gonna actually be Spider-Man with a knife in his chest.

I am looking forward to this issue though. I always enjoy it when Spidey shows up in Ms.Marvel.

Ms. Marvel has had more artists working on it than story arcs in it.

Bummer from the solicit, the "date" will either be peter not showing up cos he is spider-busy as always, or a one issue thing. is ms marvel suposed to happen before or after current NA ?

Haha, fair enough. Maybe the guy in the spider-suit in Spiderman:The List is that poor guy from The Short Halloween
That cover seems to show that Pete is already excited about the night out.

I wouldn't mind reading the issue, especially if Marvel is actually serious about this pairing.

I've taken a liking to Ms. Marvel recently, but if she calls Pete a kid in this issue she's dead to me.

I wonder if anyone will remember that Carol Danvers used to be great friends with Peter's real-timeline wife, Mary Jane?
DeadXMan

not so much as Carol being best freinds with Jessica Jones who had ( and may still have) a School girl crush on Peter.

Oh really? This must've passed me by. When were Carol Danvers and MJ close friends...can you give specific story-arcs or issues?

MJ appeared in the early issues of Ms Marvel vol 1. Carol Danvers worked as a magazine editor under J Jonah Jameson, and she got to know MJ when MJ was at the Daily Bugle with Peter Parker. The two women became friends, went out to dinner together, etc.
MJ was a supporting character in those early Ms Marvel issues, and she was even featured on the cover to Ms Marvel vol 1 #1 :

And would ya believe, Greg Land didn't draw the cover?
So, Spidey and Carol. Perhaps that was her from the Madam Web story in ASM#600 in which future events revolving around the upcoming arc, "The Gauntlet" are briefly shown.

If you bring the Gauntlet to this, we may see some development for Carol in ASM books as well. This is because she was a mentor to Arana at some point, and it seems that Arana is targeted as well. Spidey and Carol goin to save Arana might be an awesome story...

Oy, what a mismatch! The question is, can Peter deal with dating a woman who could mop the floor with him with about the same amount of effort she puts into chewing gum?

She may be stronger but he could keep out her way and wind her up like when they meet up in Ms Marvel.

Why would that make the slight difference, you machist ! I don't think the thousands of men that got laid with shulkie were bothered by that.
