The highly anticipated sequel to "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" will be hitting stores in September, and CBR speaks with Game Director Dan Tanguay about incorporating the "Civil War" storyline into the game.

I think 'fusions' are going to be pretty disappointing. There will be like 5 or 6 'types' and the color of the energy effect will be where the variety comes in.

Yes. This never appealed to me. It's like the "hydro-action" or "battle damage" action figures of yore. Just give me the real thing.

I think this one is going to be disappointing.

First the developers are not Raven Software (who by themselves are mediocre making X-Men games and rumored to be meh Wolfenstein), but a team known as port specialist. Second, they need to mold the game into heroes vs heroes event that we know the story of. Some guys might like it, but I rather have my heroes united against villains. Third, what's hyped much is the fusion or combo gimmick. I think that part is so forgettable in the first game I never think it highly. What's interesting in MUA is the RPG-ish skill assignment element for each character & the story. Not the combo gimmick.

It's definitely more than that. I think I did more than that playing it at SDCC.
