Ashley Hamilton (surprised to learn he's a guy) was briefly married to Shannen Doherty. So while we don't know about his talent, we do know he's got nerves of steel.

Yeah, it was tough to see Ashley not perform too well, especially since he has the look.
My personal favorite is Mark Dacascos, and I think he did well enough. Good hips and energy, but his incorporation of the martial arts techniques could have been better. I was very surprised with Aaron Carter and Louie Vito, especially during the relays. Their dances were very dynamic and energetic.
Can't wait to see the women perform, especially after reading of Mya's dance credentials.

I watched the last hour of the debut episode last night, and I was baffled.......When did Aaron Carter stop talking like Rap Masta B?
I saw 1-2 episodes of the Carter family reality show (About a year or two ago?), and the way Aaron Carter talked on that show was a stark contrast to how he spoke on Dancing With the Stars last night. He actually spoke without the bullshit lingo & accent.
He sounded......normal.

During her intro, I remember Mazar pronouncing her own last name as "May-zar"......It's the commentators who keep pronouncing it the other way.

Aaron Carter may have actually grown out of his Uber Tool phase.
I didn't really know who Joanna Krupa was before tonight. But I sure know now!
Got cable back with 12 minutes to spare. Kelly was a delightful surprise tonight.
Accoring to some sources Macy said that she "popped her cherry"
Dialidol.com had Macy first in the voting and Kelly last; which means that the "Vote For The Worst" crowd was busy last night.

To be specific, she said, "Busted my cherry".........The female judge & the gay European judge couldn't stop laughing, while the old British judge possibly found it funny, but didn't show it.
Aaron Carter may have actually grown out of his Uber Tool phase.
Hopefully so........In that reality show I saw an episode or two of, I remember older brother Nick mocking Aaron's mannerisms at some points.

Yay! Stacy showed up. I was hoping she'd be the former cast member dancing tonight. But, I know I know, Sabrina was the greatest injustice in teh show's history, as is always pointed out.
Aaron Carter really is a crybaby. I want to see him eliminated just to watch him sob.

That was a bunch of crap. Ozzy's daughter should've been ousted, not Aaron Carter.
Besides, Aaron's dancing partner was the last bit of eye-candy I had for the show...................I like watching Derek & Joanna dance, but Joanna Krupa doesn't give me that special "oomph" Aaron Carter's partner gave me. I was also sad to see Lacey Schwimmer go, as well as Louie Vito's partner, in previous shows.
But, seriously, I thought Aaron Carter was a better overall performer than Ozzy's daughter, and deserved to be in the final four........He just wasn't popular enough with the TV audience.

That was bullshit. Shows the obvious flaws in the fan-voting system, although we saw that with Aaron Carter getting ousted last week as well.
How Joanna Krupa could have been kicked off the show, in terms of performance, when Osmond had that mess-up and Kelly Osbourne rarely ever scores as close to her, is beyond me.....Krupa almost consistently made high scores, moreso than Aaron Carter, and Derek Hough's choreography tended to be entertaining.
I thought it was going to be the obvious, either Kelly Osbourne or Donny Osmond getting kicked off........I figured Osmond might get saved, due to a big part of DWTS's demographic probably being people who used to watch him on TV in the 70's.......I thought Osbourne was the sure-bet to get kicked off.
Makes me wonder if Mya will get the boot next week, since Osmond & Osbourne are more popular with the fans..........Speaking of Mya, I think she's the most fake celeb from this season, going for the conservative & overly-demure schtick.

I've had this sinking feeling since Donny's undeserved 30 in the freestyle. Mya was clearly the better dancer.

All 3 freestyles sucked, they bored me to tears.
Being new to the show, it made me wonder if freestyles are always this way......But I remembered watching the Drew Lachey freestyle a long time ago, and that one wasn't bad.

O.K., my two cents on Sam's replacement...former Dancing Star Shandi Finnessey. She would be a sympathetic ear for the contestants, because she's been through it herself, and she's worked live TV as a host of GSN's Playmania. Added bonuses are a fun personality and she's a former Miss USA, so she's extremely nice to look at.

I am really shocked that Erin Andrews is putting herself out there, after what
happened to her last year. But at least this is a show where she'll get nothing but support from the audience.
I'm curious as to how they'll have to dance around Pamela's boobs. I think with her latest "enhancement" she back went up to some truly ridiculous size.

Doherty was robbed. Buzz and Kate are noticeably worse than her. But Kate gets the sympathy vote and Buzz is an American hero. I don't think Buzz is entertaining enough to warrant being one those old timers who lasts about halfway through the season.
