Right on. Well done, sir. Informative and personal. I use the portable one- and since I never much used the older pens without the monitor, my hand doesn't feel like it is in the way. It feels totally natural and greatly reduces time.
I really can't wait for the next generation of these though, something that eliminates the bulky cables and box thingy. It would be great if you could get a laptop with one of these built into the bottom, just pull it out and go. But these are really a great improvement over the old school pens.

Thanks! I'm interested in hearing everyone's opinion on it. I've been asked by a couple places to write a Colorist column with tips and how-to's and I want to make sure things are organized and easily readable. So hit me with your opinions on the writing as well as the information.
I've seen some tablet PC's that are similar to the Ciniq, but you lose a lot of the functionality. The screen would spin and turn so that it would lay down over the keyboard to be drawn on. Give me a Cintiq over that any day.
Thanks! I'm interested in hearing everyone's opinion on it.
I'll need to borrow your cintiq for a year or two to see if you were right about everything. I'll let you know where to send it.

Sure go right ahead. I'll need to a secure a deposit first though. Your first born should do it.

The Cintiq is one of the greatest things I've ever bought in my life.
I wouldn't be able to do my webcomic without it.
