The DC Nation panel at Chicago Comic-Con is now underway. Check back here from 4-5 CST for the latest updates.

Is it just me or is the attendance roster kind of lacking anybody who can answer anything about the core universe?
The only guy who's writing or editing a mainstream book on that panel is Yost so maybe we can expect some info on Red Robin, but other than that...? It's just artists and guys who are off on the fringes. No Johns, no Morrison, no Robinson, no Gates, no Winick, no Rucka, no Berganza, no DiDio...
Is this typical for DC panels?
Well about damn time for a second JSA ongoing. Too bad it's happening now that the sales are going down instead of back when the sales were on top of the world.
Donna Troy and her dead children.
First he resolves Dol/Cerdian for Garth. Now picking up on Donna's family.
Krul seems to be making a pattern out of tying back to previous continuity.
He keeps gaining notches in my interest level.

I agree as well! I can not wait to check out the books once they are out.
"There will be a new "Spirit" series spinning out of "Batman/Doc Savage," Sattler said."
Very cool! The Spirit will return in the near futre. I'm sure it will be even better after the whole Doc Savage world is formed etc.
"DC is "looking at" doing more with "The Mighty," Sattler said."
Not sure what to think about this statement here. It can be good or bad at the same time. I don't want The Mighty to be taking place in the DCU or any events and crossovers. Its a creator owned book, so I don't think it will happen...I hope at least

I'm hoping that by "do more with The Mighty" they mean do more projects like The Mighty, as I'm loving it but would hate to see it shoehorned into the multiverse or the DCU proper.

Yeah that is what I'm worried about too. DC taking over control of the series and we will see Superman vs The Mighty crossovers soon :(

It didn't sound like DC is taking over the series. Like you said it's a creator owned title. The writers always said that they were doing 12 issues and after that they would maybe do a "season 2." I think that's what they were talking about at the panel.

I wonder why the exasperation about Aquaman.
I'm not an Aquaman fan, but I'd love to see a good book. I'm all up for a good read.

I am looking forward to the new universe by Azzarello with Batman, Doc Savage, Rima, The Spirit, The Blackhawks, The Avenger, and other non-powered heroes.

You know what you'll be seeing soon? Its cancellation. Hahahha. Its selling 7,000 copies a month.

now that they've said Legion will feature in the main stories I'm more likely to pick adventure up but I'm not in the market for origin stories.
as for wednesday comics, I like they will be collected by character or tone. In two halves maybe? one with supergirl, superman, titans, wonder woman, flash and kamandi and the other with the darker detective type stories. I think the second would sell more.

I might pick up the Batman/Doc Savage book(s) if everyone he mentioned is coming after bats, not just DS.
Okay- who's the miniature flying monkey?

Two things not mentioned in article:
Phil Noto is doing the interior art in the Batman/Doc Savage one-shot.
There will definitely be more of Terry McGinnis somewhere along the line.
You know what you'll be seeing soon? Its cancellation. Hahahha. That sounds like an ass attitude. Is the book hurting you somehow?
Having said that, The Mighty won't be cancelled, being that it was a LS to start with.

One thing you can pretty much take to the bank regarding the Legion is that whatever they do will only make the big picture muddier and more confusing than it is already. I have no faith anymore that DC can make the Legion work. Which is a shame; it's been my favorite title since I was ten.
As far as Wednesday Comics goes, I think what might have really excited me is if they'd figured out a way to package it for newspapers, so that you'd buy your Sunday paper and you'd have this extra DC insert along with the regular Sunday comics. I have to believe that there would be a significant number of people who would otherwise not be buying a Sunday paper every week that would pick one up just for that. A couple of major papers buy into it, you'd be talking about millions of copies in circulation.

I think DC has a plan otherwise they would have let the threeboot run until it reached the cancellation line. If 8 page origins secure a longer future for the legion by showing people the cast isn't as confusing as they percieve or at least on a par with X Men. I pray that DC suceeds because if it doesn't they will lose one of their constant sellers.

Not sure if you realize it or not, but the Superman feature is being shown every week in USA Today.

Actually, it was only the first page of the Superman feature that was in the actual paper. The rest of the story is being serialized online.
I can't believe no one on the panel knew who Doiby Dickles was.
And that guy asking for a portfolio review really started to annoy Ian Sattler. The guy wouldn't take no for an answer.

I am waiting the "Batman/Doc Savage" title!
And I hope that Doc Savage will have his ongoing serie in a near future.
For the Mighty, I don't want him included in the DCU. His universe is almost real, it's an another world, not a multiverse one.
Why not introduce an another main character in it with its own title? I hope so!
