Which ongoing series could you see a Milestone character showing up in?

To expand the question, which sub-universe(Super-verse, Bat-verse, etc), concept or organization could you see using Milestone characters? Or which character has the most potential in the DCU?

Who could we see in the Super-verse? Steel apparently has a relationship with Hardware and we know Sam Lane is keeping an eye on the Icon, Static and several others.

We could see Static in an solo on-going or a buddy book with Blue Beetle and Firestorm. Or a Hardware series.

Superman seems to have a decent relationship with Icon, so I could see him in there once the current "Superman on New Krypton" story ends. Similarly, I liked Hardware and Beetle's meeting in B&tB, so maybe Hardware could show up in the Blue Beetle second feature.

I'd prefer a Static back-up in Adventure comics. From what I understand, most of the backup features are only set to run for a certain period of time. So once the Legion feature ends, it'd be a good place to set up Static. Or maybe the new Kid Flash ongoing.

I want to see Static and Rocket show up in Tiny Titans at some point.
That would rock

Aren't they all in vastly different locales? Gotham, Metropolis, Dakota (Dakota City? suburb? darn; I forget). I'd be happy just to have Static and Rocket and Icon & Co. back on the stands (original creators, too, eh?).

I'd buy an Icon ongoing, definitely. I picked up the trade of his first eight issues at Mega Con and was surprised to find how much I liked the character. I was really hoping he was going to join the JLA there, but with so much up in the air in that series now, I don't know where he's going to end up. Wherever it is, though, I'll give it a look.

Hardware can show up in his own on-going title with John Henry Irons as a supporting character. (I know! Two black male characters in one book! Who could've imagined!) A tech-based book with two drastically different personalities which leads to an interesting dynamic. This is the book that needs to happen with a top tier artist and writer. (Not some no-name creative team that no one couldn't care less about.) It would be a success with a SINCERE and GENUINE push by DC. Hardware is leading man material. Heck, this would make me drop Marvel.

It probably won't happen, but I want to see how the writers of the Green Lanter books deal with the influx of new worlds. DMZ and his lover were essentially like GL's anyway.

They should restart showcase and spotlight the milestone characters there first to see whether there's a market for them.

I agree in that they should restart Showcase, not only for the Milestone Characters but Red Circle and other DC characters that doesn't have a book.
I'd like to see Icon and Hardware join the Justice League at some point.

That'd be cool to bring back Showcase.

Static should be in Teen Titans, Icon in JLA, and I don't really know any of the other Milestone characters.

What about an Anthology series called "Milestone Comics"?

I totally agree !

Hawkman, 'cause you liked the first Icon trade, I hope you pick up the next and whatever's following. I was lucky enough to get in on Milestone at the beginning--living in Philadelphia was big incentive--and Icon had issue after issue of continued good work.

Iconicmarvel, how can you sell me on Hardware? I was a steady Icon/Rocket reader, as well as Static and Xombie, and less steady for other titles. I'm not big into Iron Man or other "Tin Man" costumes, and prefer solo acts (Static) to groups, Avengers, Legion, or (apologees--can't think of the Milestone group...).

Anyway, would be good to learn why I shouldn't've missed Hardware, thanks.

That would interesting but I would rather have Steel as the main character or both characters as co-stars. Call it SteelWare or something that doesn't sound like a kitchen appliance. My one problem with the New Krypton storyline in the Superman books is that they didn't make John Irons the lead character in Superman or Action Comics. I like the stories being told with Nightwing and Flamebird and Mon-El but the Guardian just seems very bland.

Not nearly as interested in seeing these characters as a subset of someone else's world as I would be in seeing them as the heroes of one of the 52 worlds, one where whites are the minority. I think that would be fascinating.

No interest in seeing the Milestone heroes as part of any current book or the main DCU. I still believe they need their own Earth now that DC brought back a form of the multiverse.

I do like the idea of Showcase coming back and seeing the Milestone heroes there. I'd probably be more interested in reading them if that happened.

Despite what people seem to think, that isn't what Milestone was about at all. It isn't supposed to be some sort of black power fantasy where the white man is the one who was subjugated throughout history. You make non-whites into the majority and you're missing the point of the line to begin with.

I'd really like to explore the setting of Dakota with Static and Icon. Hardware could be based with John Irons and The S.Cabinet could jump around the whole DCU.

I'm simply suggesting a direction I think those characters seem well suited for. Not a black power fantasy, as you have unferred, but rather a world where the cards simply have been turned.

But this type of scenario still wouldn't gel story-wise with these characters.

How so?

They are built on the premise of being a different point of view from most mainstream comics. It may be interesting as an Elseworlds tale, but no, that should not be the only representation of these characters.

They are from various POVs from various ethnic groups in the US, and putting them on a "White Man's Burden" world where non-whites hold all the power GREATLY diminishes them.

I would like to see Static in Adventure Comics with Superboy, in Red Robin with Tim, or in Batman with Bruce.

Icon would have been great in Justice League, and I also would like to see Hardware team up with Steel.
