It was ok. Not what I had hoped for. I didn't care so much for the art. The story was very standard and didn't seem to be leading to anything special. oh well.

Exactly. It was all perfectly well written - that much is a given with JMS - but it was all so conventional, so standard. I could have plotted this origin out in a few minutes.
