I made beef rump with soy sauce glaze, champ (Northern Irish style mashed potatoes) and garlic doughballs (similar to American biscuits) a couple of days ago and it was great.

I love soup and flavours like bacon & lentil and mulligatawny (Indian curry soup) are amongst my favourites although Scotch broth is the usual homemade soup in my family.

I love sandwiches and wraps and anything with ham or beef in it goes down well with me. BLT and burritos are favourites of mine.

I often eat at the restaurant at the John Lewis department store in Glasgow as their presentation is excellent and they offer everything from pasta to crepes and they have wonderful cakes, many topped with fresh fruit and cream.

I am not a good cook. I'll contribute my family recipe for tuna fish and noodles.

You need: One (1) can of chunk tuna in water. One (1) can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup. And one (1) bag of noodles (I prefer the extra-wide).

Cook the noodles in water. Drain, then add the tuna and the soup, stirring until it's all mixed together. I prefer to put it back on the stove on Low to warm it up a little more, but that's not really required. Salt to taste. In other words, if you can taste it, add some salt.

Bon apetit! (No, bon ape-tit. That's what I meant.)

Although this isn't my recipe -- I nicked it from Nigella Lawson -- I have a total sweet tooth and think the thread could use it. Besides, I did a few things differently from Nigella (gasp!) and think I can share. This is a recipe for Rocky Road Crunch Bars. Yummy!

You need 125g of soft, unsalted butter, 300g of best quality dark chocolate (broken into pieces), 3 tablespoons of golden syrup, 200g of amaretti biscuits (or rich tea biscuits, since they're probably easier and cheaper to get), 50g of cherries and 100g of mini-marshmallows.

Heat the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a heavy-based saucepan over a gentle heat and mix it well. Once it's melted, take it off the heat (or turn it down low). Place the biscuits into a plastic freezer bag and crush them with a rolling pin (this reeeeeally hurt my hand). Don't worry about having big chunks with little crumbs, that's how it's meant to be. Put the biscuits, marshmallows and cherries into the mixture and mix well. Tip the mixture into a square baking tin and smooth the top. Then refrigerate for a few hours or overnight. When it's done, cut it into squares.

There. Done. Not too difficult, which is always good, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking to lose weight. Good for lunchboxes and stuff. I did a few things differently when I did it though; personally, I used more cherries and used milk chocolate instead of dark (and I'm very tempted to try a white chocolate version). And, obviously, not everyone has a plastic freezer bag. Just use a regular plastic bag. Oh, and dusting with icing sugar is always good.
