Okay, I'm not from the United States and we had our comic con today. I got these titles at an incredibly reduced price. Yes, I do mean morbidly reduced price

Comment? Do you think this is a catch or is this just a "meh" find?

Green Lantern 25 (2008, Johns) - Sinestro Corps War Finale
Adventures of Superman 500 (1993, Ordway) - Back from the Dead
The Kingdom 1 (1999, Waid)
Batman The 10c Adventure (2002, Rucka) - Prelude to Bruce Wayne Murderer
Green Arrow 45 (2005, Winick) - Enter Speedy

DV8 13 (1997, Heisler)

ThunderCats 2 (2002, Gilmore)

HERE'S THE DEAL:

FLASH:REBIRTH 3 WAS ON THE COMIC BOOK STAND ON THE SAME MORBIDLY REDUCED PRICE. REASON? There was a tiny accidental crease.

And the worst part? I just skimmed through the "F" section and was on the "J" section when someone said, "Excuse me, miss, this Flash Rebirth is on the morbidly reduced price section?"

I could have just kicked myself. Flash Rebirth!

not bad.

personally, at cons, I'm there to complete runs. I don't normally start new ones. the goal for me is to go for broke, while trying to wipe out as much of my want list as possible, as cheaply as possible. if I'm not sore from dragging an overstuffed duffel full of books, I don't consider it time well spent.

recent stuff is fun, but I don't pay cover for it, ESPECIALLY at cons, unless it's a first print of something popular. Nothing published in the last ten years should set me back more than twenty bucks, unless its a retailer incentive cover, and I don't collect those anyway.

lol. I'm just getting back to comics after like a five year LOA.

I was getting stuff that were either first issues or momentous events so that I could figure out if I'd get the trade for the series. :D

....and I couldn't find Judd Winick's green lantern! :((

I've got two cons coming up that I'm really eager to get to. Pittsburgh and Mid-Ohio.

I'm looking to drop close to four hundred bucks on comics and original art (which is the other reason I go to cons). I'm really itching to complete some key runs, and to knock out some smaller collections I'm working on.

my main collecting focus is team titles at the moment, followed by Alan Moore books, and famous comic Deaths.
