Chris is going to be in town (Salt Lake City) this Saturday and I need to figure out what to get signed. I have the full run of Uncanny X-Men so I could get anything from that signed but I'm not sure.

I'm thinking maybe getting X-Men 1E signed and Uncanny 251 and 277 - love both of those covers.

Is there anything else I should try to get signed instead? What should I talk to him about. I think I'm going to ask him what he wanted to do with Exalibur before House of M happened and where he was going with it.

Anything else you guys can think of?

Buy X-Treme X-Men #19, if you don't already own it, and have him sign it.

The answer to this question relies entirely on you. When I met Peter David a few years ago at Megacon I selected the stories from his extensive Hulk run that I enjoyed most.

Instead of focusing on what covers you liked the best, I would instead focus on what stories you liked the best - most likely from his Uncanny run. Claremont didn't have anything to do with the covers - although there some pretty great ones by guys like Byrne, Smith, Romita, Silversti, and Lee.

Good points, now I've got to think of my favorite issues from him and what books I would like to get signed, I have a list of a lot of the books he did that the store provided (though it is missing a lot too, like his JLA run).

I love the Inferno books and maybe Days of Future Past. I have a 101 that would grade in the high 9's that I would love to get signed but I don't want to take the chance of ruining it.

Uncanny X-Men Omnibus
X-Men Forever Alpha and #1
Uncanny X-Men #257

I don't have any of the Omnibus as I like to get regular issues and I have all of his X-Men work.

X-Men forever I didn't like so that is out.

Uncanny X-Men 257 is awesome, maybe 260 and scold him for not killing Dazzler and never listed to your artist, haha. (not serious all you Dazzler fans out there)

X-Treme X-Men or Excalibur would be funny as a joke, same with Rachel the Dinosaur, haha.

I've got to think about this tomorrow and figure it out, more ideas and posts would be great though.

First Appearance of Dazzler.

Seriously, I would go for New Mutants #1

Any X-men Annuals.

Multiple copies of Storm: The Arena.

Ill pay you for those. No story has had the impact..it would seem from fan reactions.

An excellent choice. Jean bakes a cake.

If I ever got the courage to bolard on a plane and go to the US, I'd go for NM 45, "We were only foolin'".

I might let him sign a graphic novel.

But I don't let people write on my comics.....

Get yourself a copy of 1988's Excalibur #1. The proper one - none of this Genosha bollocks.

Get that signed.

Or maybe Sword is Drawn, the prestige format that precedes #1.

Or even Mojo Mayhem. That's a crystallization of Claremont's talent right there. ;)

'The Sword is Drawn' is indeed the start. But #1 has a much bolder, and slightly more iconic, cover.

That's true, SiD's cover is a bit cluttery with the Technet in there; #1 has a great cover, very iconic as you say.

Another good choice would be Big Hero 6 #1. Honey Lemon is on it.

You should ask if it would be ok to send him a download link so he can print off the pages and sign them for you before sending them back in the mail, I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

Have him sign Essential Dazzler Vol. 1. He did headline the trade, after all.

Someone should get commissioned lesbian sex art from Land and get CC to sign it. I'm sure that both Land and CC would be very happy.

personally, i would recommend x-treme x-men #41. i had CC sign that, and he practically beamed at the issue.
