Awesome week. After the lack of a Blackest Night-related title this week, I get three next week to make up for it, including #2 of the series proper. Add to that JSA vs. Kobra, R.E.B.E.L.S., and Wednesday Comics, I am absolutely stoked for this coming Wednesday!

And you appear to have very good taste.
Thank you, that truly is a honor coming from you, Jim.
Just wondering why you're not getting GLC but you are getting the other two Blackest Night books?
A valid Question.
Let me explain, I haven't really liked alot of what's been Dc output in recent years. I believe the last issue I read of the Corps was around #13(going off the top of my head.) It's not any slight to the Corps or it's readers, but when comic prices are becoming a substantial high. I chose the books that I want to read about more. And if it peaks my intrest enough I will purchase it. I'm interested in Batman and I loved Blackest Night #1 and the other two recent Green Lanterns.
I moved to Trades for Green Lantern right before Sinestro Wars hit(which I still haven't read as of yet) Now I don't want to buy every tie -in related to this thing but the Batman one is only 3 issues. I can at least try that one out because I'm interested. Paying something extra that I'm really not interested in doesn't validate reasoning in my book.
now going over my list:
Action Comics #880 - liked the initial part of the first issues, my intrest is waning a little over time, but the story is still there. I just wished the art wouldn't flip so much back and forth.
Adventure Comics #1- This is a no brainer, because Adventure Comics volume 1 is my all time running favorite series of all time, right along Superboy volume 1, and this also has Conner and I'm a die hard Legion fan.
Batman #689 - The past two issues have had me grinning with glee with the recent Dick as Batman.
Blackest Night #2 (of 8) No need to state since I already have enjoyed the previous.
Blackest Night: Batman #1 - Willing to give this a shot as stated
Booster Gold #23 - have read since issue #1 and I believe every month this title gets better and better, Time Travel is my favorite thing in the world. Actually this has been month in/out, My favorite book right now.
Red Robin #3 - I like Tim Drake - him looking for Bruce and going with the league of Assassins has me wanting to read more.
Showcase presents: the Flash Vol. 3 TP - No explanation here. I have almost a complete run of The Flash except the first 100 of the series, it's easier than pulling it off the shelf then going box diving for issues, plus Barry Allen is my Flash, I'm a Classic Silver age/Bronze Age lover.
Superman: Secret Files 2009 This is probably the weakest one of the week. I'm getting this for Mon-El, and for that reason only. In fact month in/out Superman is my weakest Title mainly due to Robinson's writing. Alas I wished it could be different but right now Superman has had 3 decent issues: and 3 pretty miserable Issues: for me right now.

I'm a big fan of the character, Booster Gold - but I feel since Johns has left, the dynamic between he and skeets isn't there. I'm missing the sarcastic humor undertone the book had between the two. I also don't care much for the Blue Beetle back-up - this is the only DC book I'm reading I'm strongly thinking about dropping.
And to echo everyone else, big week for DC!
Only picking up Deadpool and Ultimate Avengers on the Marvel end.

Fair play. I was originally planning to wait for the trades of Blackest Night as I'm (attempting) to switch entirely to trades but things happened and this did not pan out. So I figured I may as well just end my single issue buying by buying everything Blackest Night and go out with a bang :D I'll probably still buy the trades too so that my GL collection post Rebirth is complete.
