Batman Confidential #32 -- It was a good read and I do really love reading stories featuring Bruce Wayne. This one shows how different Moscow is from Gotham City and how Batman needs to change his ways to make people fear him...beyond fear. I love the scene when Batman asked a gunman a few questions. The outcome was shocking and some great dialogue afterwards I thought.
"I'll ask you one more time. I'm looking for the Tsar."
"If you think I'd tell you anything about the Tsar, you must be even more STUPID than you look. And belieave me, you do look pretty stupid."
This is great writing here. Because most people would think someone would be stupid if they dressed up in a costume and tried to fight crime. Its good to see a more nature reaction and stuff.
"Trust me. I have many ways to make you talk to me."
"I might as well kill myself as talk to you about the Tsar."
"He's bluffing feigning craziness."
"He mean's it!"
"NO!"
"I told you he meant it. By the way, the other one's getting away"
Bruce was shocked to see this, and knows his normal script of Batman won't work in Moscow. Some good text as well: "Even the Joker, with his manifold psychoses, has he ever done anthing so shockingly insane?"
Yeah, I do think Peter Milligan's arc will be great, and there are 3 more issues to go. Oh, the fight with the Bear and Batman was more of talking than anything else. The cliffhanger was interesting for a few reasons, and I'm sure the readers will find out why the Bear is scared off so easy by the cops. Also, a Moscow team up with Batman? We will see soon enough.
