I'm curious to see what most of you have to say about Black Hand carrying Batman's skull.. Why do you think his carrying it around? and why Bruce Wayne's skull?

If Morrison has any say in the story, I'm guessing its a realistic 'Back-Up' Skull Batman created in the event that he kind of died and that there was such thing as a Black Lantern

I'm guessing it probably has something to do with the Omega Sanction sending people's souls into a constant neverending series of deaths. Maybe that place is actually where the Black Lantern boss gets his power or resides and the skull is being used an a kind of dimensional avatar to source that power.

Obviously with Blackest Night being about the dead coming back to life, its safe to assume Bruce Wayne's connection is linked with his current limbo status, in some respects never alive or dead.

It could also be seen as a nod of sorts to The OMAC Project (and Brother Eye), initially created by Bruce to watch over all the heroes on Earth. So he knows everyone - living and dead - and many of their secrets, and thus he's a key which links them all.

Hasn't Didio basically said it wasn't Bruce's body Superman was holding at the end of Final Crisis #6, making it also not Bruce's skull?
