Does anyone else here think that it's putting Beast back to his more simian form, a sort of machine that reverses mutation? I noticed he had 4 fingers again in Dark Avengers #7.

This has been discussed at length in the issue review thread. Don't pay much attention to the fingers, because how many Beast has depends on who draws him.

Well, it could be....or he could now be a hairless cat without fingernails. I think it's open to interpretation.

That's definitely an improvement over what we've got now.

Beast should definitely have his mutation reversed, but then Sage should destroy Dark Beast's life by jump-starting him into a cat.

Cat Beast will remain. Dark Beast is too much of a failure to hurt him permanently.

People shouldn't forget that the cover to the first post-Utopia issue of Uncanny features Cat-Beast leaving.
Now I suppose that could be symbolic, or even a fake cover...but expectations that this machine will have any long term effect on Hank may be pre-mature.

Yes, I thought that could be a fake out, but then there's a post Utopia Astonishing X-Men cover with CatBeast and a Marvel Adventures cover as well.

Honestly I think they should just go ahead a pull the trigger on changing him back. There have been so many opportunities for them to do it that people have gotten hyped up for that it's starting to feel like like the boy who cried cat.

Either do it, or stop teasing possibilities for it to happen.
