Dirty Deeds!

"Dirty Deeds" is a series of threads where a discussion can be held about the morally questionable, or outright evil acts of characters in comics. It might be a discussion about times a hero crossed a moral line they shouldn't have, or a discussion of a villain's most horrific acts in their history, but the premise remains the same.

Where possible, a poll will be included to vote upon said character's "dirtiest deed".

Please do remember that there are no wrong answers, this is all a matter of opinion. Since everyone has a different set of morals, please try and respect differences in people's own beliefs.

This editon of Dirty Deeds is the seventy-seventh, and I wanted to profile a character who in a very short time, proved himself to be one of the shiftiest, most-manipulative ladder-climbing black-ops agents that S.H.I.E.L.D. had ever seen. So much so, that he earned himself a field promotion to being the Director of the Weapon X project! I don’t know why he hasn’t turned up working for Norman Osborn and H.A.M.M.E.R. because there were so many Dirty Deeds with the backbiting little weasel known as…

Brent Jackson!!!

So what is Brent Jackson’s "Dirtiest Deed"??

- Betraying the S.H.I.E.L.D. Black Ops team known as Contingency, resulting in many agents’ deaths? (revealed in Weapon X: The Draft- Kane #1)

- Shooting a mutant agent of A.I.M./HYDRA dead, risking the life of the girl he was holding hostage in the process? (revealed in Weapon X (vol. 2) #23)

- Working as a double-agent for the Weapon X Project while already being an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.? (revealed in Wolverine (vol. 2) #166)

- Using an LMD of Nick Fury to lure Wolverine into a trap, and arrest both him, and Beast despite the latter having committed no crime? (Wolverine (vol. 2) #163)

- Not reporting the serial killings Sabretooth committed while a member of the Weapon X Project to anyone but the Director? (Deadpool (vol. 1) #59)

- Attending Deadpool’s funeral, just for the purpose of taunting Wolverine with members of Weapon X to tell him he was next on their hit list? (Deadpool (vol. 1) #61)

- Placing a kidnapped Leech into the Mutant Power Cannon? (Wolverine (vol. 2) #173)

- Attacking S.H.I.E.L.D. agents with Garrison Kane in an attempt to recruit the agent known as Rapture? (Weapon X: The Draft- Kane #1)

- Intentionally leaving crucial information about Rapture being a teleporter out of his mission briefing to Garrison Kane? (Weapon X: The Draft- Kane #1)

- Convincing Wild Child to turn himself and Aurora in to Weapon X, claiming it was the only cure for her mental instability? (Weapon X: The Draft- Wild Child #1)

- Upon learning Sauron was leaving the Weapon X compound at night to drain innocent people of their life energy, not reporting it, instead using the knowledge to gain Sauron’s loyalty? (Weapon X (vol. 2) #2)

- Using Wild Child’s jealousy over Malcolm Colcorde starting a romantic relationship with Aurora as the catalyst to recruit him into his mutiny? (Weapon X (vol. 2) #7)

- Taunting Malcolm Colcorde, who had begun dating Aurora, for being a “mutie lover”? (Weapon X (vol. 2) #10)

- Leading a mutiny against Malcolm Colcorde and his few remaining allies within Weapon X? (Weapon X (vol. 2) #10-12)

- Claiming he and his mutineers wanted to join Cable’s Underground, and help them destroy the Weapon X program, only to attempt to knock them out at the earliest convenience? (Weapon X (vol. 2) #10-12)

- When called before his superiors, blaming the mass destruction at the Weapon X compound on the incompetence of Malcolm Colcorde, or the actions of Cable and the Underground, to get himself promoted to the new Director of Weapon X? (Weapon X (vol. 2) #13)

- Recruiting Chamber into the Weapon X program with promises of restoring his body, provided he killed John Sublime, and work for them? (Weapon X (vol. 2) #15-16)

He’s a dirty government agent who’s screwed over both Wolverine, Nick Fury, and countless other superhumans and somehow lived to tell the tale! Now, vote for what you think is the worst of Brent Jackson’s “Dirty Deeds”!

Look at that poser, trying to look hip with his goatee and smart with his glasses. He probably went after Beast because he knows Beast has brains and he doesn't.

Brent Jackson? I wondered how you managed to fit it all into one post.

I think the only spot where he was not being a complete dirtbag was in Deadpool where he tried to stop Sabretooth from murdering a kid or so.

I ask myself who was worse, as far as a mutineer goes, in terms of being blatantly disloyal... Brent Jackson, or Fabian Cortez. Hell, they both are up there with Starscream, from the Decepticons.

I must ask the supposed geniuses behind evil organizations in comics... why the f*** do you hire weasels like this? I mean, look at Brent Jackson... he's a blatant goatee-wearin', backstabbin' douche. He would tell Nick Fury that he was a dinosaur, and he was the future of SHIELD. WTF? Fury's gonna whack anybody with an attitude like that, not just slug him in the jaw and send him on his merry way. And then he survives working with a collection of some of the biggest psychos and sadists at Weapon X? Sabretooth, Marrow, Wild Child, and Sauron don't get around to killing him... why? Because he's so useful?

Brent Jackson was in many ways, Frank Tieri's most beloved character to get a push, that didn't deserve it. That might be his dirtiest deed.

Yeah, that was like the only time he had a redeeming scene. He wanted Sabretooth OFF Weapon X, for being a total liability.

I had a roommate in college who I absolutely loathed who bears a striking resemblence to Brent Jackson. I wanted to cave his face in. And seeing Brent, just reminds me of the same kind of weaselly douche.

Being a North American Crested Tool.

The guy should be in the urban dictionary a an example of douchebag and many other derogatory terms.

None of his deeds seemed that dirty to me, just kinda of sneaky.

I voted other as a result.

I dunno, he didn't seem that covert or sneaky about what a treacherous bastard he was. He'd be like, "I'm gonna kill you and take you job", while smiling... which makes me wonder why nobody just put a bullet between his eyes to be done with it.

For a former SHIELD agent, I can't recall one instance where he showed any real skill in a fight, hand to hand, or with firearms... so why didn't anybody just take him out?
