Tony Daniel posted this on his blog a few days ago. From what he's said, most, if not all, of these characters pictured will appear in Batman, in the near future.

There were definitely aspects of Battle For The Cowl that I would've liked better if they'd been played out more and not pushed to the side due to the frantic nature of the three-issue story and the chaos playing out. For instance, I thought Daniel's subtle use of "Private Eye" Riddler hanging back from the media blitz and "quizzing" Gordon and Bullock was EXCELLENT.

I'm glad to see Tony's using his new Joker design (still hope he'd be sporting his purple suit now that he's out of Arkham, though). As usual his Two-Face and Riddler look really good.

Zsasz, Riddler, Sandman, Two-Face, Joker, Freeze, Hush, Penguin, Black Glove, Strange, Hatter, Alfred Pennyworth. I think the girl behind Batman's cape is probably Talia, but who's the crazy snaggle-toothed girl with the black nail-polish?

Not bad. I'd like to see his interior pencils tighten up a bit in the future, but it's just not gonna happen with his current speed.

To quote the man, himself:

"That's my new take a character we haven't seen much of. You'll see come 692."

He also said he's been reading old back issues of Batman and Detective.

Nice find. I can't imagine that Daniel will be allowed to use the Joker before Morrison and Quitely do, though, it's been pretty much confirmed that he returns in Batman And Robin. I wouldn't mind seeing Hugo Strange though...

Where are you seeing Black Glove? And i think that's Maroni / Falcone, not Alfred.

Come on guys help me out with this:-

Unknown:
1) Guy below Riddler - Zsasz

3) Dude below batman's leg.. I think it could be Hugo Strange.. not sure - yes, Strange
4) That dude in the hat right out of the 50's - Maroni / Falcone (somemtimes Maroni has a mustache and sometimes not)

I believe he was in The Long Halloween... or maybe that was Falcone.

I haven't a clue about continuity anymore and i don't think DC does either, but i can't think if any other vaguely Italian, suave-looking goons that it could be other than Maroni or Falcone.

They both were, but Maroni was more prominent in Dark Victory, the sequel. I think.

Am I the only one who immediately thought the moustaced man in the hat was Thomas Wayne?

He doesn't really look like a Wayne to me, plus the rest are all villains.

Isn't Wesley Dodds dead in the current DCU? And not a villain?

Maybe, i haven't a clue. That still isn't Thomas Wayne though.

I thought of Thomas Wayne, also.

It reminds me of Daniel's depictions of him in RIP.

Also, I'm willing to bet the Joker-looking woman is Tony's new character. Meh.

I hate Joker clones.

As I posted before, Tony said the woman was his new take on a character we "haven't seen much of". And he said it's not Jane Doe.

I see, we're in for same old same old. I actually am dropping Batman when Winnick run comes to an end.

You should at least give the first issue a try, me thinks.

I already had a taste of his writing in BOC. I'll pass. There are better books to waste my money on.

Yeah, but he'll have twice as many issues to work with this time. I don't really care if you do try it or not, I'm just pointing that out.

I see, we're in for same old same old.

I think they are intentionally putting the old familiar villains in Batman as an alternative to Morrison's use of largely new villains in B&R.
