Anyone else playing this right now?
I used to play this a lot on the Dreamcast and I bought it for X-Box Live (1200 points) on Wednesday. I'm not the fighter I used to be...

I've been playing it a lot.
I dont think I had ever played this exact game before but I definitely played the X-Men COTA, X-Men v Street Foghter & poosibly MSH or MSH V SF.
I'm a pretty big fighting game fan but not really a pro or anything.
Once I got the hang of how to do the hyper combos I was on my way.
I dont ahve a winning record in ranked matches but I did get 55 wins to get that acheivement.
With my great love of the X-Men and Marvel universe in general I'm sure I'll be playing this agme for a long time.

I somewhat like MvC2, but the lesson here is that whoever you are, whatever the subject, if you give me the option of voting that you are an idiot I will do so.
Don't feel too bad, you're in good company so long as I'm around!

I don't win very often. I keep getting paired with people who like Cable, Magneto, and Storm and just wipe me out from the other side of the screen.

I got the #1 in the Hood achievement last nite.
100 ranked wins.
I've got more than a 100 loses though and I'm loving every match.
Win or loss I'm having fun no matter which.
I have this for my PS2, so I know its in hd and all, but what other reasons might I want to buy it again for my PS3?

Online multiplayer.

Well that is a good one, how well does it support it? does the game run smoothly online or does it lag like the last Soul Cal?

X-Box Live supports it very well (haven't played it on PS3) and I haven't had any lag issues.

Just bought it off of PSN. Been awhile and wow I'd forgotten how rough of a curve it had. Still very fun game though

The game is fun but playing online is just hopeless for me. When you're fighting against people who can pull of crazy combos that finish you off before you can even react then it's just no fun. I've never been able to pull off big combos and their arrival signalled the death of 2D fighting games for me. It was bad at first but then when games started including ridiculous multi multi multi hit combos, I pretty much discarded fighting games from my life. I've always really, really hated combos for this reason. Still I couldn't pass up downloading this - too many good characters. I just wish I had people more my level to fight against...
