Where to start???

Last week I made a trip to my local library. I decided to pick up a book for my daughter and in the process I ran into a comic book section. I ended up standing there reading different comics for almost 6 hours (time flew by). In the last week Ive picked up a couple of comics, but I'm really lost. M-Day, Civil War, and tie ins every where. Whats the best place to start....

I think there's a post specifically for new readers. Check it out. The posters are really helpful and will direct you. My suggestion? I would actually get a subscription to Marvel Digital Comics for a year or on a monthly basis. They have a lot of older comics and include the ones in an X-book with relevant plot points. You can search by character and writer and it's a great deal! Iv'e been reading for about seven years and I felt more up to date looking up some of the older issues. If you want to collect though, and feel a comic book in your hand, which truth be told is the way to go, then check out the thread for new readers. By the way, welcome to CBR!
