View Full Version : Did anyone watch Comic Con 2009 on G4TV?

I think I missed it, but I know they were going to air Comic Con on G4TV like they do every year. Did anyone watch it?

Didn't they already have Comic Con in NY earlier this year, back in February?

There are many things called Comic Con, but there is only one Comic Con International.

Did you watch Comic Con on G4TV?

What was that Comic Con they had back in February? It was all over the DC Comics Message Boards.

New York Comic Con. Which is New York Comic Con, not Comic Con. If someone is just calling it Comic Con, generally they are referring to San Diego.

Okay, but did you watch the San Diego one on G4TV?

They air a Comic Con special on G4tv and cover the show on Attack Of The Show.

No, he actually went to it.

It is an option, you know.

Do you work for G4?

No Donald, but I know for a fact they show Comic Con ever year on G4TV. I used to watch G4tv regularly.

Is there a reason you don't want to tell me if you went to it or saw it on TV? Was I rude to you?

Donald is such a rebel on TV watching that when his Tivo makes suggestions he tells it to go fuck itself.

You are a very strange person.

My lawyer has advised me to tell you I neither went to nor watched Comic Con and that you should watch your mail for notice of the restraining order.

Thank you.

Right, I'm the strange one-a simple "yes" or "no" would have sufficed. I was trying to be friendly.

Mavericker steals Sarah Palin's CBR handle:

Plausible deniability. It's just wise in this day and age.

Right, I'm the strange one. I was trying to be friendly.

People don't have to answer questions if they don't want to.

Being very, very insistent that they do is the opposite of friendly.

No I'm curious, not nosy. And I am sorry if I offended you.

I wanted to know if anyone saw it because I missed it on TV, and no I don't work for Comic Con or G4.

I would like to go to Comic Con if they bring it to upstate NY.

I live in Upstate NY-we have a big enough arena to run a Comic Con here. I can't afford to go downstate to NYC right now.

What 'Dox said.

A Comic Con may come to Upstate New York (There may already be a Comic Convention that happens in Upstate New York, someone around here would surely know.) but the Comic Con is in San Diego and always will be.

Save your money and you too can attend.

Or just watch it on tv, but then you miss out on all the free stuff.

Mavericker's area is too big for its britches:

You have a big enough arena, but you wouldn't draw enough people.

All about the Benjamins, I'm afraid.

I would go if I could afford the tickets if they brought the show upstate-I want to get my own comics published and distributed and I want to showcase my art.

I'm just saying, it's not a real con unless Lou is there. And possibly also former WWF Superstar Virgil.

reminds me of a story. Raven was next to Virgil one day and I wanted a picture with Raven. I asked him for one and Raven was kind enough to do it. I asked if I owed him anything and he said no. Virgil said that he's willing to take a photo too. Not trying to be rude, I took one, and I was walking away and he said, "That will be $15"

So ironic, given what his position in the WWF was. He should have saved some of those hundreds he was shoving in people's mouths.

I saw some of it. I actually got a better view of things than actually being there.

Being there was like being stuffed in a train car with a bunch of people dressed as Darth Vader.

It was crowded, smelly, and made me wan to punch a baby in the throat.

The costume people were cool, until they were walking around a wall to wall 100K attendance show floor asking people to move because they might damage their paper mache creation.

I love Girl Blair, because she actually knows about comics. This year they had some other chick, I forget her name, at one of the booths selling comics and she held up Action Comics # 1, Superman # 1 and Amazing Fantasy #15 and she refered to them as "Action Comics Edition One," "Superman Edition One," and "Spider-Man Edition One." I said to Rally, "Why couldn't they have gotten Blair to do this?" and Rally replied, "Probably because she would have ran off with those comics."

I think I recall that being Alison Haislp. She's a cool chick, though I think she may not be as much into the geek gadgetry or comics like some others, she seems more into the acting thing. And that's cool too.

@the OP, Mavericker, I think you are getting so much S*&^ because you really need to post something with more content or something to discuss.
