He gets revealed in #40. I don't think Way is resurrecting Sabretooth, at the most he'd be featured in flashbacks.

If Romulus is Sabretooth...... i'll go and buy all issues of Origins, if Sabretooth is Dakens real father...........my god.......... this would be the greatest save by a writer done after a horrible (Loeb) storyline ever.

Uggh it should be forgotten in my opinion. This whole "Romulus has been affecting Logan's life from the begining" is so old-action movie cheesy that I just don't like it. I guess I'd have to see how to ends before I make a final judgement on it.

Romulus is the clone of Jean Grey and Wolverine's son come back from the future of an alternate reality to kill Wolverine before he gains the power of the cosmic cube and uses his newly genius level intellect to mass up an adamantium clawed feral mutant army to conquer the world

Sounds hot. Romulus should hook up with Rachel.

Not to disappoint you guys, but Romulus is Romulus, not an old villain in hiding. I really don't think you should hope for that, unless you're joking.
A lot of people don't like Wolverine: Origins but I always liked them, liked the mystery, because it created a good base for the character, Romulus, but newer interviews hinted Wolverine will in fact manage to kill him, which would be a horribly wrong move. He barely shows up a few times and he already falls victim, that's just too bad.
I've followed him closely so far and he definitely is the new character with the most potential. I mean if guys like Red Hulk and Sentry can go around trashing anyone they want whilst having the personalities of a paper clip, why not give Romulus a shot? I'm actually thinking that it would be fun if he killed off Wolverine, got a limited series, and Daken taking over in the main Wolverine title. He can bring him back later, or something. Worst things have happened to better characters.

in a classic star wars moment rolumus and rachel mess around and find out they are brother and sister. and to make manners worse, rachel wakes up the next morning puking in the toilet and having morning sickness...

Personally I don't know how I survived to get to this point(where I can finally enjoy the book)... the art early in its life was horrible... good lord... I can't even remember who the artist was anymore I just remember thinking wow this art sucks.

I like where this is going... seems ripe for a Way/Brubaker co-authored mini.

Since we dont know his powers.... Selene.
But if his powers are like wolverine..... Selene, she would just cage him and use him to feed forever.

upon learning that Romulus knocked up his own half sister, he kills rachel by impaling her with his claws, but the fetus survives, inherits the phoenix force from his mother and grandmother, and saves himself by fleeing into the future, only to come back full grown with his parents' worse qualities: a pissed off dark phoenix prone to berserker rage.

Romulus spent six weeks in the summer of 1985 as an ice cream man. He was fired when the distributor didn't supply him with anymore Froggy-Pops and he burned them down. Down to the ground.

Romulus invented the basketball, but then other people started using it poorly, so he then invented teh slam-dunk and broke the backboard down. Down to the ground.

I wish, but the WO writer said that he wants to get this over with(Wolverine's past and origins) "so everyone can start writing new Wolverine stories". But maybe he was referring to Daken, now that I think of it, your post gives me a bit of hope again. Wolverine's death would be a good move, because he's just inferior to Romulus in every way possible, it would be too unbelievable if he succeeded, even with his "seven the hard way".

the art early in its life was horrible... good lord... I can't even remember who the artist was anymore I just remember thinking wow this art sucks.
I've given this art some thought too, when I first read those issues I was abhorred but I learned to appreciate it more and more, it's just that it's not suitable for everything, for dynamic moments like Wolverine vs. Deadpool, Daken vs. Deadpool, Wolverine vs. Daken it was great, especially if there was humor involved, but it shouldn't be used for more complex situations, like for example Romulus stepping out of the shadows.
I think the current one is the best so far, the one with Daken's origins was very unappealing to me, and the one before that is too simple. With a little effort the current art would be perfect for Romulus.

I think Romulus is a good idea. Let's face it Wolverine doesn't have a very good rogue gallery so a new enigmatic villain was alright with me. The problem is the writers putting him in shadows for every major event in Logan's life was kind of playing on everyone's intelligence.

Doesn't help that someone thought it was a good idea to have Logan behead Sabertooth.... his best rogue....

agreed, im sure he is gonna be back though, they did clone him in the new x-force so how do we know the sabretooth he killed was the real one and not one of sinister's clones. i just hope romulus isnt mister sinister.

Yeah that was bone headed because Wolverine is just not the same without Creed to kick around. Another thought on Romulus, do you think he was the one who set up the infamous battle for adamantium with Apocalypse? I remember Sinister hinting about dark days for Wolverine or something like that.
