How obscure is not obscure enough? That is for you to decide.
For the first issue, I selected Meghan Hetrick, who did some sketch cards for Marvel Masterpieces 3. Check out that Arsenic:

Now I need suggestions for future spotlights. To me, Dave Devries is obscure enough but Michael Golden is not quite. Your standards are your own.
Please spotlight an obscure Marvel artist in this thread. Thanks.

Not to nitpick (which is, of course, what I'm doing) but Mark Bright isn't the least bit obscure. There was a good stretch when he was doing regular work on some pretty high profile properties. Granted his work hasn't been around much in recent years, but then neither have Michael Golden or Denys Cowan. None of which is to say his work doesn't deserve some pub (it does) but if artists with his background and resume are being included, "obscure" probably isn't the right description for the criteria.
With that out of the way, I nominate Keith Pollard.

I guess this would be the best place for me to ask this then, but when I got my series of Marvel Masterpieces 2, I got a card by a guy named D.Kraken ... Never heard of him, and as far as I know, the card he drew was Sif... I couldn't even tell that much, but it was a great looking card regardless. Any ideas?

That is a real treasure hunt. I get most of my Marvel Masterpieces images from deviantart.com since lots of artists post the full galleries of their sketch cards there, but many of them use nicknames so it can be hard to find specific people.
There is a forum that specializes in the sketch cards too, but I forget what it is called. I will snoop around tomorrow and see if I can find your artist.

I agree completely, but it seemed like it wouldn't do any harm to include him.
And I now have Keith Pollard on the list. Thanks!

I don't see him on this list:
http://www.scoundrelpublishing.com/mm/mm2/numbers.html
Many sketch card artists are REALLY obscure, so that probably means that no on else pulled and scanned one.
Here are the MM2 forums, if you want to keep digging for yourself:

Pat Zircher.
.....Yeah, I agree that Mr. Zircher is one of the few whose work was really appreciated (NEW WARRIORS, THUNDERBOLTS).....
.....plus another artist that I've enjoyed is Jon Bognadove (POWER PACK, X-FACTOR, FANTASTIC FOUR vs X-MEN Miniseries)........

MC Wyman.
Used to pencil THOR. CAPTAIN AMERICA for a little while too, I believe, and also the USAGENT miniseries.
Last I saw of his art, he vanished during the mid-90's Marvel implosion.

He is also a great human being. If anyone ever gets a chance to meet him at a convention, don't miss it.
We got him some cards during the Vs. System days, and I can't wait to spotlight him on the new site.

He's got an upcoming arc with Stern on ASM featuring the Juggernaut that should be pretty sweet.

How about Tom Morgan?
He did a ton of work here and there for Marvel in the 80's- early 90's.
Very under rated talent, and really nice guy (he used to shop at the store where I worked).

Highlights include work on Avengers West Coast, Iron Man, Power Pack, Alpha Flight, Punisher 2099, some New Universe stuff, and aparently he did some work on the Obama comic this year from IDW.

Bob Hall. He was a very solid and underrated artist for Marvel in the 80s. He did a lot of big projects for them, including Squadron Supreme and the original West Coast Avengers mini.
