There's the original Hulk with all his divergent personas... She-Hulk... Red Hulk... Red She-Hulk... Skar... another She-Hulk who is the daughter of Titania.... Planet Hulk... Planet Hulks. I think I'm forgetting something, but it doesn't matter.
Hulk is becoming Marvel's Superman, with so many variations and knock-offs.
I'm frankly a little Hulk'd out. Do you think Marvel is in danger of over-saturating the MU with Hulk stuff?

No, Marvel just decided to build new franchises set around one character rather than a team. So instead of X-men and Avengers books we get Wolverine books, Hulk books, Deadpool, etc. They started this a while back with all the Spider-books and they have slowly expand it to other characters.

It's smart business. They did the same thing with the Avengers franchise. I'm not reading the Hulk books but if the story is decent why not.

Yes. because The Hulk is the kind of character that works best alone and seprated from humanity. Having all these spin offs and creating a hulk family line of titles just seems bizzarre. So yeah I feel like I'm hulked out... The best thing about his title in the past was that he was in his own little corner most of the time.

I think so. Too many new characters, writers don't know what do with them. They remove the originals, to give them focus. It's all too forced.

It's not smart business when your forcing away loyal Hulk fans.

Hmm, yellow and blue Hulks next followed by Black Hulks formed from bombarding dead heroes with Gamma rays? It's a little too much to me, also. I pretty much laughed out loud with Red-She-Hulk (even though McGuiness' pics are gorgeous).. but if it all sells then more power to 'em

The Hulk is one of Marvel's originals whose sole multiple title run was when Rampaging Hulk and Incredible Hulk were being published. The Hulk has a damn theme park ride, why not give him mutliple comics/spinoff titles now?

Not really. Of course the only Hulk book I read anymore is the one that Hercules hijacked so I’d actually go so far as to say there aren’t enough Hulks out there.
Red Hulk isn’t really Hulk. Plus, considering it’s a Loeb book, it’s a case of out of site out of mind. The same will probably be true for Red She Hulk (who, as I understand it, doesn’t actually exist yet).
Bruce Banner hasn’t been doing much more than making cameos since WWH ended (isn’t he pretty much just an occasional guest star in the Red Hulk book?).
Jen hasn’t been interesting since Slott left and she hasn’t been in anything since she was replaced (what, one guest appearance in the new She-Hulk mini?)
The new She-Hulk has had, what, five appearances since her introduction.
It hardly fells like overexposure. If anything they need to give Bruce a book and finally settle on a She-Hulk instead of throwing them against the wall the see what sticks so we finally have some Hulks making regular appearances again.

Jen was in Marvel Adventures Superheroes 13. Lyra has had 7 appearances if you count the last page with Hulk and Thundra. And Hulk Family.
Either way, you will have people complaining. If they wanted people to not complain, all of them should of stayed in there respective titles, and simply told their sections of the story. Wouldn't of been more smart to keep Jen's comic alive for Lyra? Regarldess of how poor Jen's series was selling. It was at the same amount that Lyra's limited series sold. Instead of being stuck with IH. The sales charts also showed a loss of 10,000 from Hulk 11 to 12.

I want to see the following new Hulk versions:
1. Spider-Hulk. Maybe a spider gets zapped with gamma rays then bites someone, creating a hybrid a Spider-man and the Hulk. Or is it Spider-Man just hulking out? Who knows, certainly not the readers after a year of fake reveals and changed plots.
2. The Punish-Hulk. Frank Castle gets hit with a gamma bomb and becomes a big green guy with a short fuse and a gun.
3. Captain Hulkamerica. Steve Rogers returns from the dead thanks to some gamma treatments by Bruce Banner. But the result is that everytime someone makes an anti-American comment he turns into an 8 foot tall green monster that can throw his shield really f-ing hard.
4. The Bulk. Blob. Hulk. Instant awesomeness. Fred Dukes on gamma would rock.
5. Hulkerine. A new Hulk starts appearing with three claws extending from his knuckles. Did Wolverine get exposed to gamma? Were those pesky Mutant X guys experimenting with Banner? Did a Loebian ray from space make some new super-being?
6. The Black Hulk. You wouldn't like this brother when he angry!
7. Blackest Hulk. It wouldn't be the first time Marvel has ripped off DC. Sentry, I'm looking at you.

I have to say after the events of WWH I was hoping Marvel would take a break on the Hulk, but I guess I was wrong.
Now to me I agree with the original poster in stating that there are too many Hulk around for now. :frown:

I think there is way too much going on and there is no question it is diluting the impact of the Hulk. The analogy to the Superman era where it appeared that Kal-El's parents were the only ones who did not escape Krypton is quite apt here!

No, I agree. I'm feeling oversaturated by Hulk, and I LOVE Hulk. In August, we've got scheduled two issues of "Hulk," one of Incredible, two of Hercules, "Son of Hulk," and I'm not sure what else. My budget is feeling the strain, and it's over-scheduling of too many Hulk books that's keeping me from trying other titles. Between the increase in Hulk titles and the rising cost of books, I've got to either cut back or else not pick up anything new.
Anybody read Stephen Grant's "Permanent Damage" column on this site? He wrote a piece about a month ago about what happens when publishers oversaturate with books: they tend to implode. In our crossover-heavy world, this is doubly so. I can't keep up with all the Hulkishness AND try other books. I'd be very happy if we went back to just one Hulk title after "World War Hulks."

Business wise, this makes sense and is a good move. Writing wise, it depends. If Banner can get some character development and the new characters are handled well, then yeah, its great. The gamma super soldier program sounds great, and is the first Hulk thing to interest me in the current run. If that can be the central focus then I think they can make an interesting story. Oh, and if the Red Hulk dies in one of these titles I'll be thrilled.
