The Phoenix King

Just saw a preview of War of Kings #6 on Newsarama, and the book is out next week.
http://www.newsarama.com/php/multimedia/album.php?aid=29750
Got some generally awesome stuff here; more fractures in the Kree/Inhuman alliance, Black Bolt vs. Vulcan, and Crystal completely showing up Medusa. Good times all round. Personally, I'm on tetherhooks waiting for this to come out, and it should be an excellent issue.
What do the rest of you think about this issue? How's the preview look? And what do you think will be the outcome of the event?

. . . Crystal's headed for the fridge, isn't she?

No, she just going to go in the middle of a battle between two really powerful beings and stop it without getting hurt in any way.

I doubt she's going to stop Vulcan without at least threatening him in some way or the use of physical force.
But I have a good feeling she won't die.

But I have a good feeling she won't die.DnA have really been playing up the "people's princess" angle, though.
I can't believe I didn't pick up on this earlier.

Oh my god, if there is one good thing that comes out of this it should be Crystal dying. So she could stop going out and marrying people.

Series has been great so far, no doubt in my mind the conclusion will be any different.

This time it wasn't her fault, Blackbolt and Medusa traded her to Ronan for the leadership of the kree.

Ugh, that's awful.
I hope she'll live through it, because DnA have built her up so well, it's the first time I've actually come to like the character. And she has been seen in cover art for future issues (yet, this is no guarantee).

That may even condemn her.

Cover art for future issues? They have been holding holding back cover art for anything Inhuman related post War of Kings #6. We don't even have the cover for Who Will Rule: War of Kings yet and that is supposed to be out in September.
But, now that I think about it Crystal might not make it through this series. I have the feeling that one of the Inhumans won't make it.

Sorry, I recall seeing a cover drawn by Mike Choi showing Medusa and Crystal. I assumed it was post-WoK.

That's true.
But she need to be stop because there will surely be a next time! :evilangry:
Plus she sort of fell in love anyway so ... Kill the Inhuman.

That was an alternate cover for WoK #6.

Crystal could teleport Vulcan out of there, or Black Bolt. It will defuse the conflict, and the Kree and Shi'ar will have to work something else out. What that something else is, will be traumatic.

That was awesome!! Crystal was like: Shut it Medusa! I'm over your stupid nobility. That was just great!
Its really hard to predict how this will end, but that machine has to go off....we've come so far that I must see what it does. Turning others into inhumans?! I don't see how this will exactly humble everyone.

Since it's DnA, there's a history to suggest that they'll resurrect anyone they kill off in a year or so anyway.

Quasar wasn`t killed by them imo while deaths in SI and Oblivion were "crazy ideas" instead of simply deaths for shock value.

Actually they were the ones to write Nova: Annihilation, but I think it was longer than a year, more like two...?
Or if you mean he wasn't dead as he quantum-jumped at the same time, I agree. Plus, he isn't back as he is still quantum-energy.
What i mean is that if we assume that they weren`t involved much in plotting of original Annihilation(what many pointed out in DnA vs Starlin thread) then i think it`s stupid to think that they had any word if Qusar should be killed or not.

I suddenly want Vulcan to crush Blackbolt...and I heart Blackbolt.

They wrote the death of Wendell Vaughn and brought him back I guess two years later. They wrote the death of Moondragon and brought her back a year or so later. It's a small sample set, and sure, maybe killing Wendell wasn't their call. Regardless, should they kill off Crystal, there's at least some reason to think it wouldn't stick for any longer than other ones they've written.

My guess: she will die, Black Bolt will freak out and kill Vulcan, and Lockjaw will teleport Crystal's corpse and Black Bolt out of the T-bomb.
Then we get to the problems the future cosmic characters have been coming back in time to stop.
Forgot about Moondragon completely, thats one

I still think Maximus is sub-consciously controlling the royal family with his powers.
