Punisher
Deadpool
Thundra
Elektra
Why would Punisher or Elektra work with Rulk?

I have not a clue. As far as Im concerned nothing involving Rulk is in Continuity.

It's obvious that Punisher is Red Hulk, Elektra is Red She-Hulk and A-bomb is Deadpool.
I am only serious about one those.

It's the A-Bomb is Deadpool isn't it?
I know, you mean Punisher is Rulk

red dynamo is in there too, x-force seems heavily outclassed
Electra I could maybe buy.
But Punisher is kind of weird. He's not the type to fight other superheroes for no actual reason.

Yeah, found the team a bit odd and unique (in one way, but the opposite in another).
Isn't Deadpool a member of them too?
I'm curious how the team got together, but I sure as hell am not going to buy to find out. I just can't figure out how Loeb keeps getting permission to employ so much Marvel's big names.
The team is an odd bunch - but besides Punisher they all wear the color red. They all nearly wear red and the team name is Code Red. How clever?
But it is strange to have Punisher in there.
THis is going to make me drop X-Force.
Maybe he doesn't consider the current X-Force team to be superheroes
Maybe... though I'm not sure his opinon of Red Hulk, Deadpool, Thundra and Electra would be much higher.
Hopefully they'll be a descent reason to justify this.

HAHAHAHAHA!
Loeb is going to butcher this.
HAHAHAHAHA!
Loeb is going to butcher this.
That's possible.
He does seem to sometimes just throw people together even though it doesn't necessarily make sense (his use of She-Hulk early on for example).

This crap is seriously what made me put comics down (along with the crappy economy) last year. I haven't picked up a book since. Everything has been utter and complete garbage.

it looks cool to me, I like a lot of the characters so seeing them together should be entertaining.

Not everthing, MI-13 for instance was top notch. Just anything with Loeb on it at present. A man runnig on empty.

I agree. I do think there are some very good potential character interaction here.
And the fight itself should actually be a lot of fun.

thats the difference between cornell and loeb though, loeb may not write a master piece like cornell, but loeb does know how to sell...and he has been doing that well.

Only cause he is always paired with the best artists Marvel have. I would guess more people buy Hulk for the art than the story.

If Rulk is actually the Punisher it would be the most disappointing moments in Marvel Comics history hands down.

I'm not the biggest Loeb fan in the world either... but let's be honest. The man sells. The reason he's paired with the best artist is because he's proven he can write a book which sells. It's not just random luck that he's blessed with the A list guys... there's a reason for it.
I DO think art is a big part of the sucess of the Hulk books. But more than that, I think it's the art along with some dymanic fights with big gun a list heavy hitters. I think there's a mass appeal to that sort of story telling at least for a Hulk book.
Not to belittle some of the great Hulk stories of the past (like Planet Hulk), but a lot of Hulk readers aren't necessarily picking up the book looking for the next Watchmen. I think a lot simply wanna see HULK SMASH. And Loeb gives a lot of that.

there's action, and that is what a lot of people like in a story and, in my opinion, was one of the few set backs in MI:13, I mean over the course of the series there have only been a couple of real action scenes the best one perhaps was Blade fighting Spitfire as that was the only fight scene that lasted one or two pages...

They are trying to make Rulk a new anti-hero like Deadpool, Punisher or Wolverine. A bad guy that is cool and/or funny so everyone likes him. He is even getting his own series. I bet that he starts to co-exist with other heroes soon and might even start teaming up with the Avengers one day.

I suppose that's technically what the Hulk was suppossed to be at least at the start.

People who buy comics that feature a guy who flies into a rampage when someone looks at him funny. Do you really think the problem people have with Loeb's book is that there are too many heavy hitting fights? I mean, the Hulk fought an alien monster/superbeing/army in practically every issue of Planet Hulk, yet many people consider it one of, if not, the best Hulk story written in the past few years.

It's like when Wutang Clan alumni ODB's album went gold and his other clansman Inspectah Deck's album tanked... ODB was a mish mash of yelling and screaming while he was drunk but Deck had well thought out lyrics and top production.
Same with the Hulk title. Truth is people want that simplicity... they don't want a deep comic. They want this. De numbers day, dey never lie.

ODB's album sold like mad cause there aint no father to his style, while Inspectah Deck, he's like...he's like that dude thatta sit back and watch you play yourself and all that right? And see you sit there and know you lyin; and he'll take you to court after that, cuz he the Inspectah. That's boring.

Deadpool is to feature in one of Loeb's craptacular Hulk arcs?
I'm a Deadpool completist but even I'm not going to give this story neither the time of day nor my hard-earned cash.

Yeah, find a popular character, get a good artist and then siphon as much creativity that you can from it. Almost like a tick...

No, I think a lot of people have problems with Loebs Hulk book because it's not well written.
That said, sales would indicate a good number of readers don't mind that it's not that well written. I think the simplistic storytelling and big dynamic A list heavy hitter fights are fun for a lot of readers.

Yup. The sales are high and the ideas are wild. Perhaps the punisher will don a red costume in this storyline. It's going to be crazy. Oh and Ross is The Red Hulk. How many times must I tell it.

I really think Red Shulk is going to turn out to be Elektra. That hurts my feelings.
Any woo, maybe we'll get nice Rulk vs. Skaar match later down the road.
Just wanted to add, too, that I've been the biggest Rulk proponent since Jan 2008 when it came out. But wow... was Hulk #600 a let down. So now Rulk , is on the read pile. No more marvel books for me, it seems right now.

It could be Thundra, having just taken Electra's sai and Punisher's gun.
That might be the main reason they were placed in the story... so they can arm whomever Red She-Hulk ends up being.
If it does end up being Electra though, that's almost kinda scary. Imagine a ninja Hulk. I'd have to have to fight that.

What' really scary is a Ninja Hulk written by Loeb that's red and will have the personalty of a D-Bag that spits out one-liners as it beats opponents that would otherwise have beaten her.

Well, when this thing falls flat on its face, with an audible sound, (and it will), at least Deadpool will be there to point out how terrible it is, and make it funny. :P
Seriously though Hulk is so lame, and now a red Hulk... WHY??? Was the world REALLY clamoring for more lame HULK SMASH lines??? REALLY????
