For anyone with insane theories of Wesker somehow surviving the end of Resident Evil 5 and ultimately returning...

This sucks. Wesker was a cool villain. I hoped he would return at some time.

Wesker looked human at the time.
Killing named human characters who matter to the plot is pretty hard in RE.
Once he became a real monster, it was okay to kill him.

Besides, Wesker wasn't that interesting a character.

This clears the slate for them to do something new in RE6.

It's just a pity they didn't get David Bowie to play Wesker in the movies. That would have been awesome.

Wesker was a cool looking villain,but he wasn't that great.I always found Birkin to be the most interesting of all the villains.

I think that they should kill the franchise.Like Metal Gear series,it lost its direction.While it's still entertaining,the last 2 RE were more action games rather horror ones.Still,RE 2 was the best of the series(or at least,the best of the sequels).Lickers,Zombies in a police department,Mr X.Great times.

I never liked Wesker, honestly. I like each of the RE's to have their own villains instead of recycling the same one.

And the funny thing is that Wesker in RE5 was like Liquid Snake rip-off.For an action game,Wesker would be a decent villain(not great but visually interesting) but for a horror game like RE?IMO,Wesker should have stayed dead.

I highly doubt they'll do the same thing. If they do use Wesker, I think they should keep out the super powers and just make him some hardcore behind the scenes plotter. Lex Luther didn't need powers!

I'm curious as to how a reboot of Resident Evil would go.

Although, if they do a reboot, I don't think Wesker will be back. They flat out said there was no way Wesker was returning period.

Yeah, there are still too many loose ends that we don't know about. What happened to Billy, Barry, Rebecca, Carlos and of course Ada.

While she was rather unique, is there really anything left to tell about her story? She was a tragic figure that outright displayed Umbrella's cruelty, but her story was already resolved over the course of REmake.

Yeah you right, but I just wished she would have gotten her revenge.

She almost got her revenge on Wesker in umbrella chronicles though.

RE5 is the worst game in the series in terms of storyline..

They pretty much have no choice but to reboot the storyline now.

Aren't Capcom talking about making RE6 a reboot?

RE5 wasn't scary at all and the story telling was okay (Jill and Wesker), but there was too little of it.

In my opinion I believe Sheva was one of the main reasons why Resident Evil 5 wasn't as great as the other games. I think it was just too late to bring in a new character at that point when the storyline was coming to a close. It felt like they tried too hard to try and get her accepted with all the other RE characters.

It didn't help either that it was Chris and a new character that had the final battle with Wesker and not Chris and Jill. I always expected the final battle to be Chris, Jill and Barry vs Wesker at least.

I hope not. It can't take 8 years to come with good ideas. I think they should make it a little more like the originals (make it scary and survival) and use the fan favorite characters.

If they wait too long the interest might go away unless they make more spinoffs.

Absolutly, RE isn't like starcraft where it can keep for that long and still have interest IMO. Especially since the market is so filled with action games the pit humans against monsters.

I knew he wasn't coming back. My friend keeps thinking that though. I kept telling him he's not coming back but he wouldn't listen. Time to prove him wrong. lol
