If you haven't already answered this somewher (I apologize if i missed it), how do you ink your work? Do you actually physically do it, or do you use a computer to do it?
If you actually do it by hand, what is it that you use? Ive been trying to figure it out but I just cannot do it
(This question may sound foolish, I apologize if it is)

Hey sorry it took me so long to reply
As of right now i dont ink my own work.
I just do line clean up in photoshop for colors. I consider inking an in progress skill right now lol. If i do ink my stuff it's with a 02 brush or a micron.
For my projects for dc i had two or three talented inkers who went over my stuff for me.

Is that a female Phantom Stranger?
yes sir :)
I always enjoy seeing the sketched and inked version together for comparison.
I'm curious about the blue cropmark lines etc. Are they placed afterwards or do you actually do the sketch on the paper with the cropmarks already in place? Also does the inker ink directly over your pencil art (probably not) or is it printed in blue ink after which he inks over that?

he inks right over my stuff and erases and cropmarks are already there and i draw over them. Hope that answers your question

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v217/ink4884/titans_final_lowres.jpg
I seen geoff johns hint at the big 7 returning.
Like when Jordan got his hope ring he saw the seven
and that inspired this piece. I wanted to do a kid lantern but one doesn't exist so i figured beast boy is most green so he'll have to do!
and i didn't plan this but 5 years ago in 4 days i released this drawing i did for fun. I was still in school at the time and unpubllished.

I really enjoy drawing the rogues and retro classic catwoman , the script didn't call for specific costumes but i thought it was appropriate .
I will be at san diego comic con but i'll be hovering around and if all goes well i should be doing a signing at the dc booth. Mostly though i'll probably be around dustin nguyen's table.
So if you guys head down to san diego let me know! safe travels.

Nice work. How did you get that texture in the background? I've noticed a couple of people doing this lately, and I want to try my hand in it.
The work looks like an animation cell.
Again nice job.
i feel like the way i do it, it's not really scientific.
I grab some inkwash smear it on some paper, scan it in and put it as overlay over parts i want. Cut it out and lower the opacity.
Hope that helps

If you haven't already answered this somewher (I apologize if i missed it), how do you ink your work? Do you actually physically do it, or do you use a computer to do it?
If you actually do it by hand, what is it that you use? Ive been trying to figure it out but I just cannot do it
(This question may sound foolish, I apologize if it is)
I would recommend spending about $10-$15 on a set of microns. I use a lot of .03s and.05s, but I also like using their brush pens (which is like a thin china brush), when I have to cover medium-large areas of black, but want to give it a unique texture. No disrespect towards digital artists, but I personally love the process and finished look of hand inked pieces. Plus there are soooo many styles and techniques. If you like to hatch/crosshatch, pick up a couple .005 pens. I have a heavy hand, so i tend to break the small tips of those pens, but thats just me.

I can't even tell you how impressed I am with your work and how much I would enjoy inking that Wildstorm piece of yours on the front page.

hey pete, is that kid with the elongated helmet, suppposed to be cannonball? WHY is his head/helmet supposed to be shaped like that? that's just too reminiscent of the unimaginative golden-age standard of helmet designs, isn't it?
