My local comic store gave me a black power ring this week:biggrin:

It's awesome.

I got mine today too. Also if you ordered Blackest Night from DCBS you will get a Black Lantern ring as well. If you order the issue from Midtown you get one while supplies last.
I think a fair amount of LCBS should have received a small amount of rings when they received GL 43.

A local comic store is giving them to people who buy BLACKEST NIGHT or any associated issues starting on Wednesday. Will have to get there next weekend.

My comic store was selling Blackest Night shirts too, but they only had a Blue Lantern Corps shirt in XXL yuck (I wear medium).. I want a Sinestro Corps one.. or maybe an Orange one.

When i purchased Blackest Night i was given two replica Black Lantern Rings. I thought it was really cool and i was just wondering if any other comic events have landed you with something cool like this

Yeah, my local comic book store also threw in the Black Lantern ring when purchasing BN. It's nothing really special, just a plastic ring.. but I'm keeping it in the package for keeps.

Yeah i agree but in the given state with comic prices on the rise its nice to get something like this.

I thought it was really cool and i agree with the 8 rings for the 8 issues.

Im just curious if anything like this has been done before

When I picked-up Blackest Night and Blackest Night: Tales Of The Corps, the comic owner gave me a promotional plastic Black Lantern ring. I don't go to this shop too often, so I was really thankful and psyched to have been given one.

I imagine they're a promotional item to go along with Blackest Night. I don't know if they are limited at all, but it is certainly a super-cool DC item to have.

So, who here got one and what do you think?

The comic store I shop at has all of the light-spectrum of rings, the 'professional made' metal rings meant for daily wearing.

I actually got two. I have a friend who wanted one, and they were gonna charge me an extra dollar. He couldnt find it in the computer and he was already bugging out over something that happened earlier (I went to high school with the guy a few years back and he had just gotten the job at the store), so they just gave me another for free.

Yeah I got one with my copy.

It's nice of DC to do this sort of thing since as a fan it feels rewarding and cool comics related swag is always welcome. The ring doesn't fit my finger too well though, I have to adjust it a little so it can fit.

Adelaide Comics Centre gave me mine last week (for free). Coolest guys in town. :cool:
