I love when Family Feud re-runs have questions that give you a good snapshot of the time.
So, in 1978, the question is asked - "Who is the most beautiful woman in the world?"
The #1 choice was chosen by about 35 people, the #2 choice was chosen by about 25 people, #3 was about 10 and #4-6 were all single digits.
So who do you think the answers were?
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

I've always thought it's interesting how the rating of beauty shifts in Hollywood. The women listed here are what I would consider "classic beauty". They look beautiful in those shots even all these years later. Many of the stars who the media lables "beautiful" today are girls with a "look of the moment" type cuteness that will look dated in a few years or not be considered beautiful at all. Or...the girls (of today) that really aren't pretty to begin with but the media keeps trying to convince us they are just because they're in a hit movie/tv show or in the tabloids every 5 minutes.

There are no choice on Family Feud. The audience can answer with whatever comes to mind.
The top answers are put up on the board, hidden, and the bottom ones may or may not be included depending on how many items the producers want the round to have (Top 10, Top 5, Top 7, etc.) I think the producers always had the discretion to drop deliberately outrageous answers by that process, although if things didn't total to "100" after that I guess they didn't really emphasize it.
