I found a great printing place. I should be cranking out some hard copies in about two weeks!
Looks cool. I think your lineart is getting tighter as the story progresses, which is good. Good storyline as well.

I'll be printing a small run next week in Salt Lake City. It is mostly for publisher submissions, but they will be available here in SLC and some in Glendale, California.
As soon as I can figure out payment and mailing options (most likely paypal) I'll be shipping some out too.
If anyone is interested let me know.

Some panels a bit conjested(I would thin them).

In compiling information for my proposal to publishers I conducted faux interviews with my artists Sam and Jiro.
I only used a couple lines from each interview for the proposal itself. Just for kicks, here’s Jiro’s full “interview.” (Sam’s is coming soon.)
http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/127/l_9c129b5876924a03a4ed850accd83e55.jpg
What first motivated you to work with Nick West?
Jiro: That’s a good question. What was it again? (laughs) Myspace! There was a thread in a forum that allowed comic artists, writers, inkers, and colorists to post their info. So I did. What the heck. Next thing you know Nick sent me a message saying he wanted to see my stuff. I said ‘cool.’
Motivation? Well, honestly, we never met in person. It’s just Nick is one of a kind. You know, we talked about not only comic books, but about life and stuff. His determination, encouragement, and strength drives me forward. (You should check out his band too. See, he also has a band!)
What would you describe as your greatest artistic influence?
Jiro: Spider-Man comics got me into drawing. Then Chris Bachalo, Humberto Ramos, Jeff “Chamba” Cruz, J. Scott Campbell, Mike Turner, Mike Wieringo, Cheeks, Mark Brooks, Joe Mad, Ed Benes, Ale Garza, Oh man, EVE is a good series! Then Pokemon got me into drawing anime; not the cartoons, but the original manga. Hey, hey, there is nothing to be ashamed of there.
There are many good artists nowadays. I don’t consider myself one yet. Just look online and go to a comic book shop or art show.
I like renaissance art too, for anatomy and color.
How did you learn to draw?
Jiro: My mother taught me until I was four. Then she passed.
I started drawing Star Destroyers, The Millenium Falcon, X-Wings, and Super Sentais (of course they were cool back then). I didn’t draw farms, or mountains at all. Basically, I was self taught by looking at the things around me; and reading.
Why comic books? What about the medium draws you in?
Jiro: Drawing a comic book is hard. Takes you forever if you’re just starting; that is, based on my experience. Took me ten months with two redraws to finish King of Pain #1. Now I’m doing covers. I like doing covers instead of interiors. It’s still in the comic book industry.
What is your favorite thing to draw in King of Pain?
Jiro: The panels and the characters. It’s hard to compose a scene.
What is your favorite movie? Why?
Jiro: I don’t know. I guess “Back to the Future.” It would’ve been Star Wars, but Episode III didn’t work out for me.
What is your favorite comic book? Why?
Jiro: Right now, New Avengers. Because it’s awesome. I don’t have anything to say about this since I haven’t read it in three months.
Where were you born?
Jiro: Manila, Phillipines. Why’d you ask?

Poor Sam can't be heard, but if you turn up the audio all his lines are golden! We'll fix that next time. Chris Claremont "rubs one out" in your eye. Greg drinks coffee and beer (the usual). Nick waxes poetic.

Contrary to how often this thread has been updated lately, I actually have been writing. Here's what's in the works:
-I'm writing a screenplay this fall and winter. This spring I'll be collaborating with some creative folks to film our first movie.
-I'm finishing up the plotting and pacing for a new horror-comedy project. I don't want to give away the title yet, it's just too brilliant. My friend Chris Winther came up with the initial idea and we're fleshing out the story details together. I'll be writing the full scripts and Sam will, of course, be on artistic duties.
-Whenever the fabulous Jiro Tamase finishes his art, we'll be releasing a disturbing little superhero tale called "Francis Robinson: Galactic Armorboy." It was created by Ryan Thomason and myself. We worked on the story and script together.
-Sam has written and drawn his own crazy 22 page story. I'll be editing and lettering. We should be getting this one up online very soon. It's going to freak people out (in a good way).
-The six page horror story, "The Man in the Ground" will be featured in The Sunstone Magazine's newest issue. Apparently it has gone to print, but we haven't seen it show up in our mailboxes just yet. However, they have posted an update over at sunstonemagazine.com (https://www.sunstonemagazine.com/pow-zot-sunstone/). Sammy's name is on the cover--woot!
https://www.sunstonemagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/161-cover.jpg
-King of Pain #3 has been on the proverbial back-burner for a bit, but Sam is about halfway done. It's a double sized issue. We'll printing up a run to be sold in stores at some point.
-My new band "One Pope Left" will be playing shows in October and November in Salt Lake City. The music style can be described as a healthy dose of ass-kicking with a little dirty-beautiful sex on the side.
-Lastly, The Maze comic is finished. The full pages will be up on their website any day now. Here's another taste, this time in color!
*Before we get to that, a little reminder: If you haven't purchased a copy of King of Pain you can still get both issues. Another blog kids. Again, please hit up my main blogspot for more regular updates and free comics! http://westcritic.blogspot.com/
Once upon a time, I thought my comic book King of Pain was golden. Subsequently I proposed it to publishers by sending a whole bunch of manilla envelopes containing the first two issues and this clever little proposal letter.
Then I interviewed Ryan Ottley. http://www.ryanottley.com/ He was kind enough to inform me that in the comic book world proposals to publishers never get anyone work. Bummer. I could've saved a few bucks. Oh well, I guess I paid my dues to the gods of publishing. Now if they don't help me vanquish my foes, to hell with them! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082198/quotes
To give credit where it's due, Libby Landvatter wrote the article by "Scott Solomon."
*Note: the original also had my address and telephone number on each page. That information has been removed due to the amount of angry ex-girlfriends that already know where I live.*
