Aw, little Mongul wants to grow up to be big and strong like papa Mongol.

I'm still thinking Mongol and Mongula might be candidates for Black Lanternhood. And more than that, they're residence was on a completely dead planet.

Saint Walker origin, cool. Indigo Tribe, very mysterious, even still. It looks like they'll be defined by their actions rather than their histories and words.

Didn't know you posted here too Hearld (I'm Qu from Newsarama.) If you don't mind me asking, what comes off as fan-wank to you? Over the past few years, Johns and Tomasi have created a number of characters, and are using an ancillary tie-in to flesh out the characters. Heck, Tomasi created Mongul Jr. in one of the 90s Showcases, and he's been working on him in GLC. Nice to see him doing an "origin" story of sorts.

Doesn't seem like fans enter the equation here. They're telling the stories that they wouldn't have a place to otherwise.

That's the Indigo power signature, similar to how the GL power signatures emit from their chest emblems ....
