Because Modern politics would never allow such a thing....

1992-2001: Clinton would have tried to fuck it

2001-2009: Cheney would have strangled it with his bare hands, or shot it in the face

Present : Obama can't swat a fly without people crawling up his ass about it, so giant robots are out of the question
