Bedard, McDaniel on Great Ten miniseries

Scott McDaniel: I asked Joey if I could compete for the assignment of the Shield monthly, but he said another editor was taking on the monthly series and that the art assignment had already been determined. That was disappointing, as a Shield monthly looks to be a lot of fun, both as a character journey and as an artistic challenge!

But I certainly have my work cut out for me on my next assignment - the limited series for The Great Ten, the group of Chinese superheroes created by Morrison during 52. Talented writer Tony Bedard has written a great series' proposal, and his debut issue of the series is very strong. I certainly have a daunting visual challenge ahead, but I'm confident that Andy and I are up to it!

What do you think? I've wanted a Great Ten miniseries since they were introduced in 52 so I'll check it out.

DCU comics that have something to do with Superman i stay far away. Legion,Supergirl. Countdown ? The last event i read in dc was 52.

I find it immensely hard to get into the main DCU with all these event,crossovers.

Birds of Prey are part of the Batman family so i have of course read them but not too much. Havent catched up yet.

REBELS is self contained and only 6 issues into the new series.
I can only show you the water, you have to drink it yourself.

Actually i have read good things about Rebels.

The reason i dont try new series in dc is that i follow trusted creators and not character i dont know. Why i read more marvel and others.

Love the Great Ten, and think REBELS is one of the best things DC is putting out right now - So this can only be a good thing in my eyes. :D

I agree with this sentiment. I am looking forward to this collaboration. Bedard+McDaniel&Owens+Great Ten = automatically on the pull list for me.

I'll get it because I like the writer and the concept but I'm not sure about the art. Hopefully this mini can established them in the DCU so that more writers will use them.

Hopefully, it's better than what they did with Morrison's other team creation, Super Young Team. The "Dance" mini is awful deluxe.
