DC has no shortage of super-villians,yet for every Lex Luthor,Darkseid and Sinestro, there are many more that haven't been used as of late, but with the right writers, could be a threat to the DC heroes! Now,excluding the Bat-Villians(who have their own thread in the Batman Forum),which obscure or under-rated super-villian would you like to see again? Here's a few picks:

1.Cerebus-Does anyone remember this bizarre Superman villian?I do,and I wouldn't mind seeing him/her/it back again!

2.Mr.Z-Another Superman villian lost in the shuffle, but with the right talent, could be a dangerous foe!

3.Deconstructo-An obscure foe of the Justice League with a lot of potential!

4.Tyrannosaurus Reich-An awesome super-villian,worthy to take on Superman or Wonder Woman,or even The JSA!!!!Plus,as I mentioned before,DC needs some more reptilian foes!!!!!!!

5.Dragon King-Cool name,should be more of a threat,plus see number #4!

6.Overmaster-JLA foe that could use a huge makeover!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else??????????

Signalman... in an age where the signal-to-noise ratio is getting out of control, a villain who can can cut through the chatter could conceivably control the masses.

Dr. Double-X... just because he's so danged weird.

The Gorilla Boss of Gotham City... because Batman needs to fight more gorillas.

Per Degaton... I always had this mad idea that it would be HIM that turned out to be Monarch.

Per Degaton..just because of the way the name sounds...

Doctor Cyber - with a little repackaging, she could be thee tech villian of the dc universe...and having a woman as the scarry big bad adds a whole new element.

Gentleman Ghost, namely because the last major storyline he appeared in was awful. Nevertheless, he's a viable threat with a twisted personality that lends itself well to a story.

I'm also a big fan of Lion-Mane, mostly because he has a good look and I like imposing, physical villains. He's not someone who poses a threat to the world at large, though, so his use as an antagonist is pretty limited.

Gentleman Ghost...........you're referring to that JSA arc by Levitz and Perez, right? That wasn't very good, yeah. But Johns and Rags did some great work with him in HAWKMAN a few years back; they used him as a pretty serious (and creepy) threat. I think they even showed his face at one point.......and boy howdy, it was scary.

And I'd love to see that ganthet of Hawkman foes (Lionmane, Fadeaway Man, etc) that Palmiotti & Gray used in their HAWKMAN too. A bunch of throwaway D-listers who were revitalized by just......making them viable villains again.

Here's some I would like to see:

Eradicator - With the New Krypton bussiness going on, why not return with a closer-to-the-roots eradicator? I would like to see a revised origin for him. The original Eradicator would fit fine with Zod.

Bloodsport - He was a vietnam draft-dodger who ended up crazy after his brother lost both his legs and arms in Vietnam. Lex Luthor then used his madness to supply him with Kryptonite bullets and a device that teleported him weapons and ammo, then sent him to gun Superman down. Since the 'Nam happened some time ago, just retcon it into some fictional DC war. He had a awesome power and was quite crazy. I would like to see him again (he appeared in Up, Up and Away!) with a deeper characterization in a title with Villain focus like Secret Six. He could be a good Batman villain, too.

Eradicator would be great if he was returned to being a villain.

Extant deserves a second shot.

I want to see Phantasm brought into mainstream DC.

i'd like to see a follow up to "justice" this time inspired by the Leagues unsung silver age foes...all the mad scientists and aliens the League fought team up to try to take them out...amos fortune and t.o. morrow, the construct, the queen bee, brainstorm, kanjaro and so on and so forth...

A few of mine?

Madgod: Sector 3600 - Great GL villain, needs to be used again I'd say. Last seen in Engleharts GL Corps run.

Candlemaker - Great, creepy Grant Morrison creation from Doom Patrol which, I don't care what you say, is still in DC continuity. Last seen in the last arc of Morrison's Doom Patrol.

The Key - Morrison had a really great take on this character, and I'd love to see him go back to it. Last seen in the final arc of the previous JLA volume.

Manchester Black - What can I say? I really dug this character, I thought he was twisted, I thought he was multifaceted, I thought he was challenging and difficult and I could do with a return (even if Joe Kelly himself sort of scoffed at the idea in his JLElite run) Last actually seen during Ending Battle or OWAW or something, right?

Onimyr Synn - One of my favorite Geoff Johns created villains. Last seen in Rann/Thanagar War.

Johnny Sorrow - My other favorite Geoff Johns created villain. The visual is astounding. Last seen in Virtue and Vice, I think.

Previously I might have said Starbreaker, but he has returned. Nekron is back, as well. Mongul has returned to prominence after years of languishing as a 7th rate Darkseid.

1. White Rabbit
The one from Shadowpact

2. Headhunter
A truly creepy foe from Johns' run on Hawkman

3. The Thirst
I think this guy has JLA-threatening potential

4. Tokamak
I loved the original and the Jason Rusch-era update of this villain

5. Tezumak
Ultra-powerful Aztec armor powered by blood sacrifice. Great villain.

6. Dr. Poison
I hear that Gail loves this character, but thus far she hasn't had much of a chance to use her in the current run.

7. Un-Thing
This Aquaman foe with the wildly cool name, needs to be updated to be as cool as his name suggests (he was not).

Ending Battle. Convincingly last seen, too,  . Though apparently, it was mentioned at HeroesCon or NYCC that they're thinking of bringing him back - given what event is about to start.........I can only wonder how...

The thirst and un-thing , what stupid names and both of them are aquaman foes. It's no wonder Aquaman isn't that popular with corny foes like these.

Mekanique , she was the plot device that roy thomas used as a way to explain why COIE did not affect the all star squadron because she held back the effects. She was also partly responsible for the death of Per Degaton in post-crisis although his death has been retconned out since. With her futuristic powers , she really should show up again.

Speaking of an old all star squadron villain , i came across this interview by Roy Thomas. Not sure if anyone has read this.

I'm pretty sure she's one of the WW villains that will be appearing in the WW Wednesday comic strip.

I'd like to see the Composite Superman again. And how about Vartox the Catastrophic Man? He had the most brutal outfit, and if they made him look exactly the way he appeared in his first appearances, eyebrows would be raised.

Yeah, that's the one. "Ghost Stories" I think it was called. Pretty sour note for that volume to go out on, I thought. I know he's still around, though, because he was one of the villains who popped up in Secret Six when they were all fighting over the get-out-Hell-free card.
