I've lost touch with the Marvel U since Secret Invasion. What is Elektra's status? Was she truly killed by Bullseye, replaced by a Skrull later on, and that Skrull is dead now?

Did she ever escape being killed by Bullseye?

So F'ing confuzzled--help!

Elektra is alive along with all the other replaced heroes. How she was abducted was revealed in Mighty Avengers 16, where she slaughtered three super Skrulls before being sucker punched by an invisible Skrull with Colossus arms. The actual time line of her abduction is still a bit hazy, but her appearnce in the Murdock Papers was definitely a Skrull, as it was Skrullektra that tok over the Hand. She currently has her own Dark Reign mini series out which deals with her return to the MU and is supposedly going to answer exactly when she was taken and which stories, if any, are going to be retconned. It is looking bad for her appearance in Millars Wolverine run though. It is a great read and the most recent issue has just had an Elektra/Bullseye rematch! I reomend you check it out.

She wasn't replaced by a Skrull until much later.

Yeah that is more accurate. Though she did sod all until Chichester brought her back all bald and pure!
