I was just thinking (what with MvC2 coming out soon) how cool it would be to have a mission based 2D fighter with the Exiles. You could take on 10 characters from all the alternate worlds Marvel has like Marvel Zombies, the 2099 universe, Ultimate Marvel etc. Every time you beat one of the characters, you get to be them. And downloadable content could go on FOREVER. Maybe you could unlock the Darkstalkers universe or the Street Fighter universe or AoA. I mean, if it was a full-fledged $60 game, you could have over 100 different charcters to pick from.

Just an idea.

I don't think the Exiles could support their own game. Now if Blink and Morph were in the next Marvel vs Capcom (which has to happen. It just HAS TO!) then I wouldn't complain.

They can throw few popular characters from 616, Exiles have jumped there at one point after all and even exchanged some members.

And add me to the "yes" camp.

Maybe, as long as it's truly 2D, like classic Marvel vs. Capcom, or Street Fighter style 2D. Fighting games just don't translate well to 3D graphics in my opinion. I'd rather they used the capabilities of the PS3, 360, and Wii to include an absolutely massive selection of characters than give the game fancy 3D graphics.

Massive selection can be aviable even on PS1. I`d rather they made quality sprite with crapload of frames and attention to details like here:

Meh, I'm not impressed. Like I said, I don't think fighting games work well with 3D graphics. I know a lot of people go gaga over things like Soul Calibur and such, but me? I like them best old school, the original Mortal Kombat games, Street Fighter, and of course the games like Marvel vs. Capcom, Capcom vs. SNK, etc. If they made a Marvel fighting game, I'd want them to use graphics like they did for Marvel vs. Capcom, with a list of fighters larger than anything ever seen before, ranging from the biggest names in Marvel, like Hulk and Spider-Man, to the most obscure names like the GLA and Spider-Ham, if they've ever graced a Marvel page, they're in it.

Be impressed or not, thats your choise, but my link has game with 2D graphics so i don`t really understand why you are explaining it again.

They look more like 3D with cell shading to me.

Oh. Then i should explain probably.

I`m not sure 100% on how they were drawn but this is what i got:

Step 1. They made some sketches and other necessary shit of characters.
Step 2. Made from those 3D models.
Step 3. Used those 3D models as references and redrew everything from scratch.

So even if it might look a bit strange it`s 100% drawn at the end as far as i know.

And gameplay is 2D.

Okay, start naming universes and the best 10 characters from each.
AoA
Apocalypse
Sinister
Holocaust
Abyss
Sugar Man
Dark Beast
Sabretooth and Wild Child
Magneto
Logan
X-man

Blink and Morph are already part of the Exiles...

Not sure what universes they all belong to, but the Doctor (from Doctor Who) Death's Head, Death's Head II, Venom Punisher, Venom Hulk, Venom Thor, Professor Xavier Juggernaut, Captain Uni-mutt, Galactus Elvis, and from good old 616, Squirrel Girl, those would be the ten I'd most want to see, at least from the Marvel universes.
