Just reading my Secret Wars II Omnibus, i know some dont have high opinions of this series, but im reserving my judgement till ive read it. Up to now, its been fairly enjoyable, in a breezy, slightly cornball way. Moments i have enjoyed so far :
DD #223 - Matt/DD regains his sight courtesy of the Beyonder, if only for one issue. Matt asks the B to make him blind again, as he feels having site would detract from his mission as DD/Matt Murdock Attorney at Law TM.
Secret Wars #4 - The Beyonder is flying his Lambourgini Contach at mach speed at 10000 feet, as is usual for the Beyonder, when he is approached by a couple of government fighter planes who have spotted an unidentified bogey. Quote (hilarious) :
"Its a Lambourgini Contach, Sir! Theres a pilot..er, a driver! Hes talking into a tape recorder and, uh, chopping vegetables in a Cuisinart!"
Haha, the Beyonder is some damn fine comic relief, im really starting to like him.
