Apparently its Paul Jenkins, anyone know anything of this writer? Any thoughts/opinions on his previous work?

He has written two Sentry miniseries and one about Penance. I didn't really enjoy any of them.
He also appeared in New Avengers as himself. I thought that was funny.

Hopefully he won't abuse Galactus and Silver Surfer at least by shoving it in our face how awesome the Old Power is.
I hate the Old Power.

I'm kinda surprised there's going to be more Skaar....

Probably the most relevant history is that he did write the Hulk book for a while, prior to Bruce Jones' run. It was so-so.

Has Jenkins fallen that far from the comic fan's memory?
Paul Jenkins wrote the amazing Inhumans maxi from 1998.
He wrote the original amazing Sentry mini-series from 2000.
He wrote Origin (Wolverine).
A good run on the Incredible Hulk.
A long run on Peter Parker: Spider-Man.
Various Marvel minis and projects.
And a long run on Vertigo's Hellblazer.
Paul Jenkins is a great writer with a few so-so stories over the years.

Failures tend to reimain longer in memories.

I remember his great stuff, like the Inhumans mini, very well. Unfortunately, as with Jeph Loeb, his more recent stuff has overshadowed the older material. For me, anyway.
Civil War: Front Line, for example, was one of the worst things I've ever read. The one-shot of Mar-Vell's return was also horrible. I also liked the original Sentry miniseries, but not much of what came later. The Hulk run had its good moments, but then there were the Gamma Dogs, so....
So basically he went from a guy I viewed as a plus on a book to a question mark.
