Is Banshee Scottish or Irish?

Deadpool calls him Irish, so I'd assume both Banshee and Siren are Irish.

Millar's FF introduced a Scottish cousin of Reed's a couple of issue back but he was part of the cult that fed children to the Squid from Outer Space.

Moira MacTaggert and, um... Scrooge McDuck.
Oh, and upon further research, apparently Wolfsbane is Scottish.

That's a pretty good run of the main Scottish characters, though Black Axe only lives in Scotland - he's not Scottish himself. Likewise Zaran lives in Scotland, but we don't know where in the UK he was born. You can add
Mordred the Evil (not Modred the Mystic), who was born in the Orkneys.
Ghost Girl (Wendy Hunt) of the WWII Crusaders.
Mutant pyrokinetic Brigit Shane.
Alchemist Daniel Decyst.
Dark Mairi of the Shore.
Lady Daemon's sister, Alisabeth.
Terrier of the Litter.
WHO's Alistaire and Alysande Stuart.
Angus Munroe (failed Hellfire Club applicant).
Caledonia.
Again, not all heroes by any stretch of the imagination, but all Scottish characters.

Forgot all about Brigit. For a second, I thought I missed a character for the Mutant Tracker... but nope, she's in there already.

Well unless you're Scottish there isn't exactly a burning desire to see it. It's like asking why there are on Belgian heroes. Because nobody knows where the hell Belgium is.

I know where belgium is, and hey why arent there more belgian heroes or villains, but considerin there is a few scottish writters amongst the heavy hitters, I'm surprised there aint more characters, maybe they just dont want to be reminded of the scotland  haha

I think there is something to be said for the bravery of peeing in your own backyard. Meaning---It's easy to create retarded red-neck Hulks and psycho yanks as a non-US citizen.
But Its harder to get personal and create/divulge ones own cultural hangups.
PS. Deadpool is scotts.

No, he's just Anglo-Saxon American.
First mentioned by the Ancient Greek geographer Ptolemy, the pre-Christian settlement of the Saxon people originally covered an area a little more to the northwest, with parts of the southern Jutland Peninsula, Old Saxony and small sections of the eastern Low Countries (Belgium and the Netherlands). During the 5th century AD, the Saxons were part of the people invading the Romano-British province of Britannia. One of the other tribes was the Germanic Angles, whose name, taken together with that of the Saxons led to the formation of the modern term, Anglo-Saxons.
SO its more like ach tung! we like Thor and chocolates!
