I thought about putting this in the 'X-Books' forum but Wolverine has really expanded his appearances outside of just the X-Books.
So which of Wolverine's costumes has been your favorite?
As for me, my votes goes to his Brown and Tan costume, closely followed by his new X-Force costume
Please post if you select other.

Definitely the brown and tan.

It just makes so much more sense for his character to wear than bright yellow and blue.

The new Daken suit is pretty cool looking. I wasn't even thinking about using Dark Wolverine when I posted this poll, but it's still an acceptable answer  I can't seem to find a good pic of it to post though.

How is it overused? Should it make a different sound each time he uses his claws? The word is associated with Wolverine. I don't see the problem. Wolverine: Bamf! or Friendly Neighborhood Wolverine would be stupid.

My top 3 are the New X-men version, Brown and Tan, and the Astonishing outfits.
1. New X-men - "Suddenly I don't have to look like an idiot in broad daylight". I perfectly believe that too. Wolverine, the badass zen-master of the group, probably doesn't care for the fact that he is often seen running around in blue-and-yellow clown tights. This outfit seem to better fit his personality, and I think the Black/Yellow leather was a great look for him.
http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/2895/newxmen133dust03.jpg
2. Brown and Tan - "I just think it was time for a change, Elf". I think this was the best of all the "superhero" ones, although I do love that X-force/Weapon X one he is rocking nowadays. I just think this one had the best color scheme, and most people here seem to agree. Also, the shoulder pads are bulky and stupid looking.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f299/Umbrax3/Brown.jpg
3. Astonishing - "Here comes the tights...". I really like the Cassaday real design here. It streamlines the blue and yellow, smaller shoulders, modern-style belt, and(thank GOD) SMALLER EARS.

I'd have to say the X-Force costume. The eyes definitely help. I wanna get that bust of him in the grey and black so bad :( Not to take away from the yellow and blue... but there's something about the black and tan that is just better. Maybe because it was the outfit I was introduced to him in, in "Pryde of the X-Men". I always looked at the blue and yellow as his "team" outfit and not a definitive look from then on

Yeah, except X-force also has Elixer, the Vanisher, Domino, Archangel, & Warpath (a super-strong character with flight capabilities)...all of whom are vastly different from Wolverine. X-force is actually one of Marvel's most highly-praised books despite people's initial reaction when hearing about it...you should maybe give it a try before you knock it.
Back on subject, I love Wolverine's yellow & blue & the Tan & Yellow outfits, but if I were to pick an outfit that best suited the character, it would probably be either the X-force one, or the one he's wearing in Wolverine: Weapon X, which is basically the X-force one without the mask.
Oh yeah, and Daken's new Dark X-men outfit is pretty sharp too.

I like the new X-Force costume a lot, but unfortunately the black and grey kind of makes him look like Batman. The brown and tan costume was definitely his best color scheme because there just aren't many heroes running around in those colors, yet it was still somewhat dark and stealthy.
Personally I'd like to see him wearing a modernized version of the brown and tan (i.e., without the underpants on the outside of his tights). Maybe just his current Astonishing costume in brown and tan instead of blue and yellow?

I voted for the X-force costume.
Reason: It's fairly practical. X-force seems to operate at night.
As an ex-military man, ex-samurai, quasi-ninja, I would think that Logan would appreciate the value of picking the right costume for the right mission. The brown and tan is a LITTLE more towards camouflage, but its very hard to make camo look good in a comic book uniform.
I NEVER liked the leather. TOO NOISY for a stealth operator like Wolverine, plus it restricts movement.
It's either the leather or the X-Force costume.

I voted for the black leather, but specifically, I loved the black leather suspenders. There's like three guys, real or fictional, who can pull that off, and Logan rocked it hard.
Jeans and t-shit was a good look for him, too.
Yellow with a mask in the style of his hair was good when it wasn't a costume, but a uniform. That is to say, pre-X-Men. As an X-Man and beyond, it didn't make much sense.

I voted for both the Brown and Tan, X-Force, and other.
Brown and Tan was awesome it just looked liked it suited him more then the yellow and blue. It made him look more feral and animalistic. I know the offcial colors for the X-Men are Blue and Gold/Yellow but its not like everyone wears them dont know why Logan cant just go with the Brown and Tan look.
X-Force to me just looks cool and makes the most sense for him to wear. Its perfect to me. that and this version of Wolverine looks the crepiest with the red eyes.
The first suit he wore in X-Men Evolution it was pretty much an updated Brown and Tan except the tan was replaced with black and there was no underwear. The only crappy thing about was the big goofy boots.
As for for Dark Claw I liked it but I much prefer the Sparrow outfit. Oldschool Robin outfit looked better on Jubilee then it did Dick.

Back in the 90s',when they brought back the old Yellow and Blue outfit for Wolverine,I got really annoyed when they colored his tiger stripes and mask fins blue instead of black like in the old Byrne/Claremont days.I know sometimes they would put just a slight blue highlight to it and that was it.Hated the X belt buckle too!

I'm not sure yet. I like the blue and yellow but I like the tan and brown and I wonder if it hasn't been done yet, you know what I mean?
I definitely like the character closer to his original size and image say the first mini series, that's where the irony comes in...instead of re-working him less than as unique as he is.
In other words, I like the short wide grizzled wolverine. Yeah, even the do.

I'm puttin my vote in for Brown and Tan, then X-Force, and then tank, hat, and pants.
Grew up with the brown and tan; always loved it. X-Force just gives him more of a killer shadow assasin look that his character's been missing lately, and the t.h.p look is like Logan's casual Friday look; clothes are cheap so when he get blood on them he can just pitch and grab another one.
Yellow and blue always bothered me. I could never wrap my head around the fact that someone who is supposed to be a stealthy killer who lives and works on a Canadian hero team would wear something so glaringly seeable out in the snow. Yellow and blue doesn't do much when you're trying to hide in the snow or the Canadian wilderness. Just a thought :)

Brown shirt or jacket, tan jeans, brown boots and a tan cowboy hat. That's something I think Logan would choose for himself, (IIRC the story did have him coming up with the b&t look.) Or reverse the colors

And with his son in those colors, Logan could go back to some variation on his brown and tan color scheme:

I think they are kinda doing that now. They have Daken most of the time wearing a variation of tan & brown in the Dark Wolverine book. Would be nice if it was Logan's standard though. Hopefully when the X-Force team isn't a secret anymore he can wear that more often

Genuine question here, so please do not yell at me. I have not caught up on X-books to start X-Force yet, but how is his X-Force costume a disguise? You mst be misinformed about X-Force its not really the team members must stay hidden its just there missions and the fact that they kill people that must stay hidden from the rest of the X-Men. So the black costumes aren't disguises there just for stealth.
Also if your not reading X-Force GET OFF YOUR ASS AND GET TO THE COMIC STORE!!!! Because your missing out on the best X book on the shelves right now.

The brown and tan outfit just seem so right for Wolverine when he made its debut. Byrne did a masterful job designing it. So simple, yet so effective. Kind of like Wolverine (ostensibly) himself.
The yellow and blue outfit never fit the character and Byrne picked up on this one quick. The original thought behind that color scheme was to make it somewhat similar to the Michigan Wolverine's team colors...yeah.

I say keep him in the black/grey X-Force outfit in that book, but in everything else just put him in a brown and tan variation of that costume (maybe with the 'X' on the chest to go along with the rest of the X-men's costumes these days).
Like so:
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f18/Jackraow21/AXMJiminezWolvbrown.png
After all, Warpath's X-men costume is just a blue and red version of his black/grey X-Force one. Why not do the same thing with Logan?

No, I'm reading X-Factor and New Mutants.
While I personally have no problem with their costumes because, hey, it's a comic book, it has to be said that there's nothing particularly stealthy about the X-Force uniforms. One, because black doesn't actually blend into the night or shadows, it stands out; dark blue is what an actual ninja would wear. And two, because they're nearly identical to their "regular" uniforms, just different colors.
I think if I were X-Force, I'd ask Captain Britain to hook me up with Roma and beg her to restore her old gift to the X-Men of being invisible to electronic sensors and cameras. That's how you stay off the radar.

I love the brown and tan too, but is the yellow really that bad? In the end, the guy is a superhero, and superheroes, for the most part wear bright costumes. Like it or not, Wolverine really rose to icon status when Jim Lee put him back in the blue and yellow. I think it's a pretty awesome costume.
