SRSLY. The book needs someone with a different vision and voice (which Fraction kinda has, even if they're wrong) but who can still make the characters sound like themselves and not be just be mandatory plot-driving elements.

Cornell was magnificent in Cap Britain and MI-13, he'd do wonders with UXM.

I'd consider Cornell on the X-Men, but I just can't get hard for Namor, Cloak & Dagger, more "Dame" Emma Frost, Mimic and Guardian. If we didn't already have Match, Hellion, Pixie, Trance, Indra and Loa in the picture, I'd say they were dredging the bottom of the barrel.

They really are quite the team. With Captain Britain & MI13 sadly cancelled, this had better have been what it's for. Not unlike when Marvel insisted Immonen came off of Nextwave, it's just a case for great talent needing to be on a higher profile project.

It sure is and what an amazing scene. Dark Avengers is an incredibly well written book!

Aside from being intrigued by how Osborn got C+D into this hot mess, I'm also wondering about Mimic (and already feeling sorry for him) and what the hell the whole Mystique-has-a-bomb-in-her-body thing is all about. I get that Osborn is good at what he does, but I had no idea he had so much influence in practically completely unfamiliar territory, a.k.a. the mutant world.

I totally agree. The team of Cornell, Kirk and Lowe was such a brilliant act on CB&MI13. I think it could work just as well here.
