I Dunno if this book is good for me. I'm a huge X force fan and I always liked Xforce, but I dont read any other X titles. I just finished Messiah war and I wanna read more like it, from the cross over it seemed as if the two go hand and hand, so I wanna know if skipping cable will lead to Xforce not making sense?

When I read "Cable", I get the same feeling. . . and better artwork, Seriously, it's not worth picking up.

I was thinking about dropping Cable after Messiah War, but I caved and bought Cable #16 today. It was pretty cool and I think I might stick with it for a couple of issues and see where it's going.

I agree. Check back in with him if/when he makes it back to the present and the X-men. For now his series is just treading water until it's cancelled. At least it seems that way to me.

Prior to X-Force cross over, it dragged big time.

I always felt he was this back up xmen story that just didn't really matter, but maybe theres some really meening to his book, call me a noob to the x titles all you wont, but I didnt know that whole Stryfe is cables clone. that was new to me, Is that what the X-cutioner's song ark was like?

I've been sticking with it purely out of curiosity as to what the hell they are going to make Hope. I realize it's kind of obvious, but I'm holding onto the thought that her story might not be ruined... although we all know it probably will be. That and I'm a sucker for time travel. I like the narrative and it's very different from the other X-books, so if you're looking for something that isn't tainted by the hot mess that is everything else happening in Fraction's imagination, I'd read it. Although apparently I'm in the minority here. Wah-wah.

Thats another aspect that I gathered from Messiah war, all the time traveling, its like Back to the future with mutants

I think it reads better in trades, people seem to have a problem with the pace of it and the monthly format exacerbates this, but Duane Swierczynski is a great writer and I always enjoy his work.

The pacing is what is getting old with this book. I keep waiting for something of significance to happen other than Hope aging, and Bishop chasing them around in the timestream.
