i know it's early but who do you like better. who's the better character, imo? what path do you want to see their story take?

We're one issue into DARK REIGN: ZODIAC. We know next to nothing about the character.

The Hood's been a mixed bag so far (great when he's the protagonist of a story, mediocre when he's an antagonist or supporting character), but at least we know who he is and what he's about.

Zodiac's about unapologetically being a villain and killing a bunch of folks to undermine Osborn's authority.

That makes him a crime-lord-type guy?

I voted neither. The Hood is a punk who is waaaay out of his league, but is nevertheless being pushed really hard as some big bad. I don't buy it, and I doubt I ever will. And I have no idea who/what Zodiac is.

Hood is Scarface. Zodiac is more the Joker from Dark Knight, except Lex Luthor is running the city.

great analogy. of course i completely missed the Scarface running the criminal underworld storyline. he's one of those arkham inmates i don't keep track of.

The Hood is one of my favorite characters ever, but I'm very interested to see where the Zodiac goes. The first issue was neat though, to say the least.

I haven't read a whole lot about the new Zodiac (if its indeed someone new) but the Hood is for the most part a very interesting character so my vote goes to Hood.

I prefer Zodiac's design, visually speaking. Hood's character, on the other hand, seem capable of standing up against several of the heroes under a good writer. I'd wait to see what Zodiac can do before making a solid choice.

is he supposed to be an already established character, just with a new persona or something? I didn't really pick up on that... I remeber the Zodiak or whatever from the New Warriors, definatly not the same.

This new guy went out and killed them so he could use the name.

Definite Joker vibe.

i didn't read the first issue. the interviews i've read make me think that he's somehow on his second life; like he used to be someone important but got killed. or maybe i was dreaming.
