How many titles would you publish on a monthly basis?
What about...
Creative Teams?
Storylines?
You decide!
I would make Psylocke British again with telepathy and then I would quit.

And then your replacement would have to think up some crap story to put her back into an Asian body again.

Yeah, i would bring mutants back.
This 300 mutants left just leaves all the anti-mutant hysteria story lines look real stupid.

Okay then I retract my resignation.

I would bring back Jean, have her and Scott fondly reminisce about the many years they shared together, before concluding the romance is long dead and they're just and always will be, the best of friends.
Then shunt her off to the Avengers side of the MU.
Purely to piss people off.
Yes, I realise this is more "What would you do if you were an x-writer"? I'd be a fascist editor. I'd change Chris Claremont's scripts. He'd hate me. The fans would hate me. Especially when I order a six-month event called The Ages of Sages about a team of alternate reality Tessasagefoxes trying to prevent a chronal catastrophe leading to a world without Sage.

I would do whatever I could to repair the damaged relationship between Marvel and Grant Morrison.
Then I would bring him in on Astonishing, with Quitely as artist. Ellis, of course, would get to finish his run first, giving Quitely all the necessary lead time.
Simultaneously, I would fire Fraction and Land. The new creative team on Uncanny would be Kyle/Yost and Mike Carey, with Dodson and Olivier Coipel rotating on art.
"Legacy" would turn into a secondary team book, going back to the name of "X-Men". It would be written by Paul Cornell, with art by Chris Bachalo and would primarily take place outside of San Francisco. Maybe it would involve the team tracking down the few remaining children with X-Genes that have yet to go through puberty/activate their mutations.
"X-Force" would remain the same.
"X-Factor" will, of course, keep PAD, but Dennis Calero would be brought in to help DeLandro with art duties.
"Cable" would be given to Warren Ellis, following his departure from Astonishing, and Bryan Hitch would be put on art.
"Generation eX" would be a book written by Kathryn Immonen and with art by -- wait for it -- Stuart Immonen. It would follow the youngest generation of X-Men as they deal with being the last generation of mutants. More so than being ridiculously action-packed (and focused on a stupid fanfic team *cough*YoungX-Men*cough*), it would be the Runaways/Young Avengers of the X-Men. Basically, it would be the street eye view to Uncanny's eagle eye, focusing on a mix of young mutants living and adjusting to life in San Francisco -- teaming up, occasionally, to deal with things they feel Scott and his army otherwise wouldn't.
"New Mutants" would remain the same.

I think that's coming soon, regardless.

Ellis should be booted post-haste.

You mean you haven't been purchasing 500 copies of each issue?

I Would publish the following titles monthly: (and all of them would have annuals done by the best artists)
1.Uncanny x-men (x2 a month)
Writer: Paul Cornell/Mike Carey
Artist: Leynil Yu (anuals too), Terry Dodson and Yanick Paquette (all colored by J.Ponsor)
Cover Artist: rotating
2.New Mutants
Writer: Zeb Wells
Artist: Diogenes Neves and Patrick Zircher
Cover Artist: Adam Kubert (annuals)
3.X-force
Writer: C.Yost & K.Kyle
Artist: Choi & Crain
Cover Artist: rotating
4.N≡W X M≡N
Writer: Jonathan Hickman
Artist: Leonard Kirk and Oliver Coipel on annuals
Cover Artist: Oliver Coipel
5.Wolverine
Writer: Jason Aaron
Artist: Ron Garney
Cover Artist: Marko Djurdjevic
6.Wolverine:Origins (until #60,
Then I would cancel it)
Writer: Daniel Way and Marjorie Liu
Artist: Cammo (the Dark Wolverine guy)
Cover Artist: Leynil Yu
and then to complete my plan of only shipping 2 titles a week regularly, I would do a year long maxi-series called X-factor: The Unpredictable, dealing with Madrox and the X-factor discovering the truth about Hope, and Sage (being the true X-factor) forming her own team to deal with Hope and thus saving all the future timelines in the X-verse from ever happening (solving Cable tried to do his whole life).

Take Land off of Uncanny X-Men
Take Wolverine from New Avengers, give them Beast in-trade.
Cancel Cable, but place him back with Deadpool with Joe Kelly as writer.
Put Longshot somewhere, just not on X-Factor. It isn't working.
Breakup Emma and Scott (looks like this one is going to be happening soon)
Since Captain Britain and the MI 13 is cancelled, bring back Excalibur with Ellis as writer.

I would try to give each book a clear voice and reason for being.
Uncanny X-Men should be just that. Uncanny. It should be about the new and the different and the strange. So to that end I'd want Grant Morrisson back again, for the first time, and give him the freedom to do what he wants.
Legacy would become just X-Men again. It would be slightly more traditional than Uncanny, but I'd keep Mike Carey on as writer and give it a different setting to Uncanny so they can both do their own thing.
Astonishing X-Men would have a different creative team for each story, who could come in and tell the tale they want to about the character or group of characters they're keen on in whatever format they want... one issue, six-issue, whatever. Those characters who have been out of the spotlight for a time, or who aren't the biggest draws, would be most welcome.
I'd fold Cable and X-Force into one title, and keep the dark and violent tone. The creative team here could stay the same.
X-Factor. I'd make it ship twice a month, every month. Just cos.
Generation X: Kyle and Yost, getting the opportunity to return to the characters they were establishing very well in New X-Men prior to its premature demise. With perhaps a little less death. Adrian Alphona on art.
I'd demand the undoing of No More Mutants, because they were much more interesting and resonated a lot better when it could be said they were an actual global persecuted minority, and I think Morrisson's concept of mutant ghettos and emergent culture had legs and could've gone further before Wanda threw her hissy fit.
I'd probably make room for a CC book somewhere, because some people like that, and so he could write that The Ages of Sages storyline. Drawn by Land.

I forgot about something: I wouldn't redo the decimation, but because of Hope, new mutants would be born (but no one would be repowered) and the New X-men would have to train to become X-men in the future.

I'd have an American team both east coast and west coast. an international team, a space corps team that dealt with intergalactic threats, an at least three junior member teams.
All of my books would be giant-sized, and some teams or characters would interact with the rest of the Marvel universe at least once or more a year, just to stay in touch with current events.
I wouldn't over-saturate the market with just one character (Wolverine). Instead, I'd try and promote as many as possible, or do merchandise with entire teams on it.
