We the straight community would appreciate not being lumped together with one "pariah-1972".
You don't count. You're a gay man trapped in straight man's body, and you needz to get out. *snaps*

But once on the list, always on the list, right raz?
It is the Destiny of every X-Woman; to have a single moment of GREATNESS, only to fade back into the shadows.....:frown:
I may be more forgiving than other Glitterati, but it was an error in taste, not so much a blatant attempt at trolling. Therefore, it has been overlooked and said offender has been spared
As for the X-Women ... if they DO come back from the shadows, they come back as different characters altogether.

I'm a big noob, so I basically only know Emma Frost when she's already with the X-Men. But there, she is an interesting character, and she is also the one thing that I like about Scott, so... she got my vote.

Being such a noob invalidates your vote.

The poll still counts it. Clearly, this forum lacks noob protection. I'm thinking entrance examinations for all new members.
I'm working on it. I want to read the X-Men stuff in order, though, and not skip to the Hellfire club directly, so it'll probably take some time until I get to my current favourite X-girl Emma. But I'm looking forward to see her as a villain.

sigh. If you must. BTW, where did you find the girly-Nightcrawler? Is that from his mini series in the 80's by Cockrum?

Yep. The Girlcrawler is one of the female Bamfs from that series.

Its so tough to pick a fave but for me it has to be Psylocke! Storm would be my second choice though. Other faves of mine would include Polaris, Dazzler, Jubilee, Dust and Sage.

4. Rachel Grey (1.07)
5. Emma Frost (0.70)

Jean, Storm, Rouge and Psylocke are all from my favorite era of the X-men since I started reading in the mid 90s. They will always be my favorite. I loved their friendships and the way they used to have characterization and were drawn beautifully. I really wish all four women were in one book together because nothing else seems to compare.
Our Love for the X-Women - they are the Greatest Women in Comics
Preeeeeeeach!!!!!
I have always said the iconic and most popular x-women were storm, phoenix, rogue, and psylocke. And I would have to add shadowcat as well. Any fan new or old can identify them 5 as the forefront of the women. I miss those 4 together, especially the sister relationship between ororo and liza.
I agree with this statement.

Ah, as history has shown....Jean, Storm, Psylocke, and Rogue are the ladies to beat when it comes to the X-Men. Marvel should put out a limited series staring these pretty ladies....
I couldn't agree with you more. There sure is good taste on the X-Boards.
In honor of the adoration and outpouring of love for the X-Women from a certain era, I present the following tribute:

Oh yeah! Just wanted to add that, for the record, these pics were done before Kitty's & Ali's breast reduction surgery. It had to be done, if for nothing else, than to prevent Jubilee from developing a complex.

Can I ask why you don't like Emma post-DWS? Was that the mini where she got really emotional?

I think I already know the answer. It's got something to do with Matt Fraction, doesn't it?

Correct.
She simply hasn't been written as well, not as good as she has been by Whedon and certainly not by Morrison. She hasn't been handled well, constantly being overused and overexposed.
Alot of writers also just fail to understand her and oversimplify her- when I think she's one of the most complex and fascinating characters there are in Marvel. It's like, they understand she's complex, but Emma doesn't always act in a complex and contrived manner like she's constantly doing right now.
I really dislike the character she's become after Messiah Complex. Same goes for Cyclops. Just overtly dominating and I've really been put off the SF based X-Books because of this.

Emma is suffering form major overexposure at a time when most other female characters have been put on the back burner. Storm is off in wakanda, Rogue is finally back but not for Fraction, Psylocke just came back, but really in the core books what femal charcater (besides Emaa) has been in the forefront in the last 18 months or so?

Eh, I found Whedon's handle kind of annoying... I mean, it was nice to see her using some British language, but not everybody from England talks like Spike from Buffy. I know what you mean on Fraction though. I did like the storyline he started to build over Scott keeping secrets about X-Force from her (it was good just to see that finally addressed if anything), but I didn't like it when he simply abandoned that plot thread and sent her straight off to Norman and Fish Breath.

That's true. Whedon's dialogue was annoying at times... and I think American writers have recently got better at writing British characters in terms of the words they use.
*Emma speaks in a British accent because she absorbed it or something from a British student in her university.
And, yeah, I completely agree about Fraction.
