No, Wolverine was based on an animal called a wolverine. Go to youtube and look up the actual animal. It's one of the most vicious and outrageous predators in the animal kingdom. It's one of those animals that if it was a person would be so utterly reckless and aggressive that you would go out of your way to avoid it. Real wolverines are known to stalk prey ten times their size (including grizzly bears) and rip into them with reckless abandon. They also have this roar that will make your ears bleed. I'd say that in terms of animals, a wolverine best fits Logan's personality. A sloth just has those three claws and it is about as aggressive as a baby squirrel. In terms of the animal kindgom, the wolverine is one of it's greatest badasses.
