Now don't get me wrong, I like some of these series a lot, but haven't there been a glut of stories lately with amnesiac gods and immortals living out mortal lives? Between Gaiman's Eternals, Morrison's New Gods, JMS's Aesir and Amazons Attack (shudder), it seems to me like this particular storyline's getting a little played out. What do you think?

I came up with it in 1988, about the entire Sumerian Pantheon remembering who they are while incarnated as humans, modern day. I'm gonna be starting a webcomic called 'Dark vs. Light', featuring all of those characters--with The Bogus Man (who is the reincarnation of Ninurta--the security officer aboard the crashed Annunaki spaceship) as the central protagonist. I also used it in Green Lama, the first part I now wrote five years ago.

It's all in what you do with it--people acting like people first, background second. But I found out recently, rather depressingly, that many fans feel uncomfortable with reincarnation--which I've always been fascinated by.

Well, if you wanna turn the thing around you can always check out my Lady of the Horde webcomic and follow a girlīs ascending steps towards godhood.
