It's getting a little annoying, I'm ready for it to be over, but...
...what can I say? I'm hooked!
I had a bunch of theories, but it looks like they were probably wrong. Anyone else watching this? The best character is that CREEPY CREEPY KID!

Our company actually had a huge bbq thing last week at the house where they film that show. Beyond that, I know nothing about it. A co-worker of mine was all excited once he figured out where we were, but to be honest, he has terrible taste in tv/movies, so now I'm scared to watch it.
we've got a pretty good thread going on the TV/Film board about it:
http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=264597
filled with good theories, and analysis -- some of which (due to "cheats" by the show) no longer hold up -- but are still interesting to read (in particular, the Maggie theories).
anyways. . I was so disappointed in last night's episode, I don't know that I'll bother with the finale.
here's my post from last night on it (after some spoiler space):
It aired in Canada. Get tissues.
I didn't need tissues -- because I felt nothing.
it was pointless
I honestly don't know if I'm going to bother with the finale, as I simply don't care all that much anymore.
tonight's episode was especially pointless -- it's like they realized, Hey! we only have two hours left, and way too many characters. . let's just kill some of them off quickly.
the entire thing with Chloe was a waste -- Wakefield asks if Cal is willing to die for her and then runs off into the woods, and they ONLY find themselves in that situation where Cal has to die for her because it was in the script???
I call foul.
and as several others have pointed out, Wakefield actually being alive, and being one of the killers is a cop out on the concept.
up until tonight, they actually hadn't shown him kill anyone by his own hand -- and there was still the posiblility of salvaging him being alive with a story of an apprentice of some sort.
but now. . .
eh.
I hate that I wasted this much time and thought on it, when it is as simple as Wakefield being alive (tho Jimmy is a red-herring as a killer (Still think Booth faked his death). . I still think Jimmy's Wakefield's son tho).

Probably rent or buy the DVD set of the series to just watch it all at once.
what did you think of that train wreck of an ending?
REALLY?
*that's* your motivation?
Bleh!
Here's what I posted about it on the TV/Film board:
crapola.
I taped it and fast forwarded a LOT.
the first hour was good, but the motive made absolutely no sense.
and that means the series is a huge Fail.
"they were in our way" ?? HOW? that doesn't wash for at least 2/3rds of the deaths. Trish's Dad didn't want Henry to marry her. Simple answer, walk away, use the Dad's animosity as an excuse, and she ends up w/ the Ex who was there anyways.
no need to kill anyone.
the subplot with the future Brother in law sleeping w/ the future Mother in Law? how does that have to do with anything about being in Henry & Abbey's way?
Cal? Bridesmaid who is burnt up? Maggie? Abbey's friend who slept w/ JD? Malcolm? Boone? Sully? what a load of crap this is.
and it completely jumped the whale-shark when he kills Trish. makes no sense whatsoever with anything that had been established thruout the series.
the *ONLY* deaths that fit this explanation of "being in our way" are: Abbey's Father and Jimmy (who *doesn't* die).
even sticking to the "original" plan -- this makes no sense. . . . kill everyone on the Island? Why? I could buy killing off JD, Abbey's Father, and Uncle Marty under this original plan (he hated them for lying to him). . . but why kill everyone else?
no motive at all.
what an overall waste of time this turned out to be.
After the 2nd Season of "Jericho" and now this mess? I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for more things from Jon Turtletaub. So I can avoid them.

I read the book already.
It was called "Ten Little Indians".
I read the book already.
It was called "Ten Little Indians".
dang you for making me defend this crap (which in actuality was quite good up unil ~episode 10 of 13).
this isn't "Ten Little Indians"
granted, it's been years since I've read Christie's book (or seen the film), but one big difference here is that the killer was not revealed to be one of the prior victims.
that was THE big twist of that story.
the "motive" -- such as it is (even if it is reather stupid) is different as well.
the only similarity is the setting: People in an isolated location are getting killed one at a time.

Dunno what show YOU were watching. . but really, except for Henry, Jimmy, and Danny, the male cast wasn't all that attractive.
the Female cast was stunning tho!

spoiler warning i guess
It has potential but like many shows seemed with a continuous storyline it was effected by lack of preperation. The first few episodes were good and as things progressed it got more and more moronic. It was like a bad horror flick by the end with them hitting every cliche they could, often several times. You can tell they ran out story beats pretty early and started spinning their wheels to kill time between kill setups.
They also forgot that motivation of the killer is key to suspension of disbelief. In this case one kills essentially because he can and "they took my son!", of course he was already a killer then. His son kills because his parents didn't tell him he was adopted and who his real parents were. So because of that he helped kill his entire family, his fiance and her family and all his buds except one (his half-sister) and only cause he wanted to make sweet sweet love to her. The actors involved did a hercluean job of trying to make that convincing but they were handed a pile of crap to begin with. Basically it turned out that 13 episodes was about 10 episodes to many.

What about Victor Webster (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005543/) or Matt Barr ("Sully") (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1204778/) ? Even Richard Burgi (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0121404/) is hot for an older guy ....
